Yesterday TXU promised we would have power back by the end of the day (meaning 12:00 midnight) so the PTB asked us to come in at 6:00 am or as soon after that that we could. I showed up at 6:30 am to still no power. Minor Mayhem was happening around me and I was asked to stay until 8:00 am for a decision to be made. Several of us cleaned out the ( Read more... )

yup, although to me during the storm it didn't seem that bad, I never lost power, there are stories like this all over town. We were supposed to work a make-up day today and the power is still not on. I'm glad I've never had to throw away that much food, that's awful. The worst that is going to happen with my job is that someone's R&D project is going to be a few days behind.
