another weekend drawing to a close.
This one was beter than most.
Highlights:
Friday: all my favorite shows are on tv on Fridays now. most got watched or taped.
bummer that Moonlight didn't get taped. I need to remember the VCRs when I make the seasonal time changes on all the clocks.
Saturday: Slept in (after 8 am almost never happens around here) I also learned about CSA fiber business on Martha's Vinyard and ordered some fiber to try it out. If I like what I get I will probably buy a share of the fall mohair clip. Had fabulous lunch with friends then went shopping with friends and got a new mouse and PS2 controller. It seems I didn't have even one controller left that was 100% reliable anymore. This mouse is necessary to improve playability of Tabula Rasa.
Sunday: didn't sleep in but went to breakfast with DBF and his best friend. Finished sweater front for wooly mammoth sweater started around a year ago. I don't think I have enough yarn to finish the sleeves. I am contemplating my alternatives.
A: Frog the whole thing, I don't like it anyway and will probably not wear it outside the house.
B: Supplement with contrasting yarn on sleeves. The body of the sweater is white with butterscotch and brown slubs in the yarn. I have 5 balls of the same yarn in a black colorway with the same colored slubs. I hate the sweater anyway and how could this make it any worse?
C: Buy a couple more balls of this yarn in a different dye lot. How bad could it be if I already hate the sweater?
Are you getting that I am not thrilled with this sweater? Since I have spent so much time working on it I want to see it through and see what it looks like after it is all stitched together and on my body.
I also finished the Fawkes Sawkes today. Yay socks!! I know many people don't like to knit socks like I do, but they are what keep me going. I have to have a pair of socks going all the time just to keep me sane I think. Next pair is Nagini. After that will be Horcrux. Anyone noticing a theme here?
