Long Time No Post
Well, it has been too long..... between posts. I don't think it really matters at this point, due to small numbers viewing blog. This is good so far, cause less pressure. Anyway, I have been out of town teaching and or at the Flying Monkey in my studio. I'm excited and freaked that we are moving into the Lowe Mill. It's going to be starting over AGAIN! When will it end? I am hoping to have a few soiree style get togethers with a few cool people I've had privilege to meet here. That would be nice as an open house, I think. Anyway I'm looking for a great party to attend for Halloween, but so far I haven't found any plans. well there is some talk about a certain Wes party. But it's shaky so far.
I saw a few good bands this week. One of which was the cool cat trio of "Skip Heller" at the monkey. I went to Catharine's and hung out with another friend of ours and the drummer and keyboardist. Very nice guys, phenomenal musicians. We cooked steak dinner (so much for being vegetarian) with broccoli, avocadoes and pineapple at 1:30 in the morning and I didn't get out until 4:30 a.m. What was I thinking? I need more sleep.
I haven't had coca cola in forever!!!!! It's killing me! But if you see me with one in public, please bitch slap me and take it away.It is an evil black liquid!!! Mwahahahahahahahahaha!
I made two flags for my tent at Burning Man. Only 9 more days till burn time in the desert. I'm making three costumes to wear. I'm going to be a playa faerie!! Theme this year is the vault of heaven! o I figure someone with wings should suffice. I'm making a list of things to take, still. Friend of mine said "take lots of condoms" I guess what happens in the desert stays in the desert, according to her. I may be a little too naieve for this gig. I guess I'll just see what happens.
I'm taking a collection of film from anyone who wants pictures. I'll write your name on it, develop it and return them to you. It's like a strange and wonderful grab bag of the human condition at it's best/worst and weirdest.
Gotta go to the Sunday family night at Ed's pizza with the sister her boyfriend, kids, and my kids too.
