Date finalized
Ok, the actual date for the wedding has been decided now. We are not waiting till 2008 because we know it's unlikely that we'll even be able to afford a honeymoon, so no point in putting it off for a big one. I may work at the Disney store for a short stint in order to get free tickets to Disney World, then we'll scrape enough together for a hotel down there for a few days. At any rate...It will be Saturday October 13th, 2007. I like the idea of the thirteenth, I stand by my thinking that what's unlucky for some is great for me, I'm only saddened that it's not a Friday. lol
I think we're sticking with the halloween theme, everyone coming in costume. We're going to write our own vows, I have to consult my stepmom on that since she's going to be our officiant. We'll have mix cd's of the songs played at the reception as a favor, there's also a few other halloween-y goodies we've got up our sleeves. I can't say that I feel pressed for time. We've decided on a cake style, flavor, and I'm pretty sure we have a topper in mind. We know what we're doing for food. Maybe because it's nearly a year away I still feel relaxed, but I am shaving a year off the original planning period. *shrugs*
I am excited though, excited that I won't be walking down a church aisle in a wedding dress, but that I'll be doing something that's nutty and totally us. We're known for being...not the average couple, so I think everyone is expecting it to be a relaxed and out of the ordinary event. I think I'm actually going to try to keep a lot of it secret, but we all know how hard that can be to do. I want to give away every detail. hehe
