And they call it Fishy Love...

After months of hoping and wishing and wanting, I've got him. My first fish. And he is so wonderful! I had planned on driving out to White Rock tonight to visit Lara, but after actually talking to the girl, I found out that she had to go to an open house. So, I thought, instead of having a normal night at home, why not go to Petsmart and get a fish? And that's what I did. I felt incredibly stupid, seeing as I knew next to nothing about fish (well, maybe not next to nothing...) and the girl wasn't actually that friendly about it, but whatever, I acted like the typical stupid customer and I'm sure she got a laugh out of me, but I got a wonderful white/blue/red beta fish out of her. And of course, being my fishy, his tank is accessorized.

Poseidon, as I have christened him. I <3 his pink plant!

Poseidon and his oh so appropriate Greek ruins.

Just another creation of the day... I got a new artist dummy for Christmas, and I felt that my already existing man was in desperate need of a woman. And here she is, with her apron and all. I'm quite proud of my crude sewing ability! Watching Titanic and sewing a mini apron, what a feat for the morning.

My mom and I went to see The Family Stone today. It was such a great movie, hit a bit close to home (because you know that I'm swapping boyfriends with my non-existant sister all the time!) but was great. My mom really enjoyed it. Not to mention that there are so many great actors in it as well. Pretty much anything with Diane Keaton and I'm set, but throw in a little Luke Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Claire Danes and Sarah Jessica Parker and it'll be great!

I'm slightly disgusted that school starts up again in a week, considering that I don't have my courses sorted out! I'm waiting for one class to open up so that I can swap sections, but all the other labs that I was waiting to switch into, once this one class is moved, are filling up. Ack. I'll have some major sorting out to do come next week. Major running around. Super. And I don't know if the Early Childhood Education class (ECED 334) is restricted for me (a non-Bachelor of Education-er) or not because the website contradicts itself. Oh sigh. School, what drama.
