My mom and I went to Santana Row yesterday, which is this little strip that has all of those chic high end stores such as Gucci, Burberry, and the like. We were supposed to go on Sunday, but had to do a rain check instead when my grandmother became ill. Anyhow, so, my mom, who is quite possibly the most frugal person on the planet, asks me Saturday night if I wanted to go just to check it out, so we can tell the world that yes! we have visited these stores with their absurdly expensive merchandise. She always come up with the most random ideas on Saturday nights. Last time it happened, we ended up attending the Gay Pride parade in San Francisco, which was indeed an interesting sight in more ways than one.
We of course did not buy anything because come on now, we're Asian after all. But that's really beside the matter because even if I were loose with the purse strings, I still would not have made any purchases simply because there wasn't anything I would have cared to have in my possession. It was all pricey crap. I didn't even see anything at Urban Outfitters that piqued my interest, which was rather disappointing. Their stock was sorely lacking in comparison to all of the other Urbans I've been to.
Picked up Neon Golden by the Notwist (how do you go about saying their name? Am I looking too much into it because it's really 'no twist'? Someone please educate me.) the other day. So good. I wasn't very pleased with the $13 price tag, but I was suffering from cd withdrawl, and I wasn't going to leave Best Buy without something, so there's that.
