This is one of those cases where the icon is absolutely perfect for the entry.

My mother woke me up earlier this morning so I could help her move a behemoth television to the garage as some lady is going to pick it up later today. Because she's super paranoid, she kept saying, "Careful now. If the TV falls on you, it'll kill you." (We had the TV propped on a desk that had felt pads on its feet so that we could slide it across the hardwood floor.) Keep in mind that we were moving so slowly we were literally inching our way towards the garage, so the odds of the TV dropping onto my person and cutting my life short were rather slim.

But I couldn't pass up the chance to tell her about the scene in Grosse Pointe Blank where John Cusack killed Dan Aykroyd by smashing a television over his head, and how the electrical currents coursing through Aykroyd's body caused him to convulse even after he was dead.

She replied with a slightly less infantile version of, "I don't want to hear that, I'm not listening to you, LA-LA-LA-LA-LA!"

It was too easy.
