Today was my mother's day off, so we went about all over town running errands and the like. I finally had my hair cut for the first time in over two years, and the woman lopped off at least ten inches. You should have seen all of the hair left on the ground when she was done. It was actually kind of an icky sight. I will hopefully take a picture of the results (me and my new haircut, not the hair on the ground mess) if I can get my dad's camera to work.
I also went into Rasputin Records when my mom was next door at the dollar store, and I bought two Maggie movies (Casa de los Babys and Mona Lisa Smile, the latter of which sucked but is somewhat redeemed by Maggie and Ginnifer Goodwin's awesome performances) and Gosford Park for $15. I seriously love Rasputin, even more than Amoeba Records. I've bought Death Cab for Cutie and Rainer Maria CDs there in the past for two bucks each. Yes, the store has been very good to me.
My dad came home today after work with a copy of Little Miss Sunshine from Blockbuster, which I've wanted to watch ever since the beginning of this year when it debuted at Sundance, and it did not disappoint at all. Such an adorable and funny film, and little Abigail Breslin is so cute! The scenes in the dining room were so beautifully lit, I think I just may have to make icons later. Maybe. Speaking of icons, I'm in the middle of completely re-doing my Arrested Development mood theme. I'm a little over two-thirds finished, and let me tell you, it looks so much better than the original. So very much.
I wasn't able to get any substantial time on the computer until tonight, but I couldn't let the day pass without a picspam because it's Jake Gyllenhaal's birthday today! Hooray!
He has such a great smile.
