i went to myrtle beach like a week ago. one of the best trips of my life, even though it was just for a few days & it was in south carolina (miraculous!).
this time they're in chronological order, i think.
(many pictures have been enhanced. cause they look better that way, duh.)
When we first got there it was just sara, devon & i. We hung out for the first day & a half.
we hung out at Broadway At The Beach, whatever that shit's called.
then we went to the beach late at night to go "island hopping" & run around.
the next morning we went to the beach to attempt a tan!
around dinner time we met up with sara's friend hilary & her friend rachel. we went to Hard Rock and all got something vegetarian, although only 3 of us were vegetarians.
after dinner we scurried off to HOB to see dashboard.
i have to say, i was a little disappointed & impressed at the same time. i was disappointed that the show was such a PRODUCTION. backdrops, intricate lights, and distance. it felt like chris was so disconnected. but i was impressed that an equal amount of new and old songs were played. Remember To Breathe blew me away. i was so glad old stuff was played, cause i'm really not into the two latest albums.
& Say Anything really impressed me, considering the last time i listened to them i was disgusted. but i do really like a select few songs now.
after the show we got ice cream & went to the beach. cause the beach at night > the beach during the day.
while we were coming back to the hotel from the beach we noticed a tour bus in the parking lot and got excited; knocked & no answer. while hilary & rachel were going back up to their rooms (the were second floor, us first) they met some guys in the elevator who said that was their tour bus and they were a band called "Bleeding Through" who were playing with Avenged Sevenfold the next night. so we kinda just hung out with them til 3 in the morning. pool, Bi-Lo, & on the internet in their hotel room?

their music is absolutely horrible, & they actually look kind of scary in pictures, but they were nice guys.
after goodbyes & little sleep, sara, devon & i packed up & were back on the road. we took a detour and went to wilmington cause it's an incredible town.
we also found the most amazing shoe store ever. i would seriously drive the 5 hours there one weekend just to get some of their shoes. there are NO good shoe stores in charlotte.

i really couldn't have asked for a better summer (without a car). i'm sad it's coming to an end.
i added $1000 to my account cause of my job this summer. i'm much closer to my car in december!
i'm not really as apprehensive about school coming as i thought i'd be. i know i'm going to do good. i may be miserable, but i'll do good. (as soon as i get out of paddle/racquet sports. motherfuckers.)
devon's heading off to college on saturday. sara & i are gonna miss her like hell. but she'll be back for vacation before we know it! then, in january sara & i will drive up and visit her.
hilary & rachel are going to chapel hill this year and offered to let us stay in their dorms when we come up for shows at cat's cradle. it's gonna be incredible.
EVERYTHING is going to happen in january!
