sold!

okay, so let's say you're twenty years old, and you're home from college for the summer.  you have a job as a camp counselor for july and august...but until then, you've got nothin'.  you got a job at a temp agency but they only got you two days of work, and past that you've really just been sitting around.  you have a lot of old stuff laying around the house and your neighborhood is having a garage sale.

wouldn't you have joined in?

yes yes, i went to the toy  closet and pulled out all the old toys -- the GI Joes, the Beanie Babies, the Hot Wheels ... (all things power rangers were spared, obviously) ... I set up at 8 am yesterday, and i started my garage sale.

guess what?

I made 78 bucks!

and yes, yes, it's pathetic that i actually had a garage sale.  but hey! it worked!

random thoughts:

- father at garage sales:  seem to shop for themselves, not their kids.  i had two fathers come with sons and spend a ton of energy trying to convince their sons that they actually wanted toys that the father thought were cool.  in both cases, the sons ended up buying beanie babies instead of the hot wheels sets the dads wanted.

- garage sales in general:  attract very random people.  funny ones.

- movie survey:  yesterday i went to crossgates to take a movie survey which was given to me by none other than... EVAN CURTIS!  he called me and told me that i should really go to crossgates because he was working there giving surveys.  so i went over and took a survey about the preview for bandidas.  good times, if you ask me.

- the heat:  it's so hot outside.  and i love it.

- sunburns: wow, those hurt.

- crash:  i finally got to see it last night.  awesome.  if you haven't seen it, go see it.  trust me on this one.  and after you go see it, call me, because i want to talk about it.

-  chinese food:  good chance my family is getting chinese food tonight.  and i didn't even have to do the "i think we should get chinese food because i miss randie and she's chinese" plan that randie and i had made up a while ago (it's funny because she's not chinese.  at all)

- ice cream:  how wonderful

- lindsey b.:  i just made plans with lindsey b. to go out to lunch on tuesday.  i'm so excited! i haven't seen her in so long!

alright.. i'm going to go now. seacrest out?
