wb dramas, working is boring, and henry grows up.

hello there! ...random thoughts, because that's how i think.

- the oc: to quote sara, "holy effing o.c. finale. that was ridiculous." ridiculous it was, hooked i am.

- seventh heaven: more ridiculous than the o.c., because the oc isn't actually ridiculous. they definitely pulled a stunt where they had kevin kinkirk with no shirt on -- a showstopper for the finale. absolutely absurd, that show is. and yet i tune in faithfully, and pray that it will never end. (now, when i said i pray that it will never end, i don't mean it. however, can we please address simon camden's plea to god the other night? aka "god, help me. no, seriously, help me." ...for those of you who didn't tune in - which i'm sure includes everyone minus helayna [randie! i can't believe you missed it!] simon camden was conversing with god because a girl wanted to have sex with him. and he needed help. "please." thought i, sarcastically, as i thought back on simon's aids scare, and then the pregnancy scare, and then the time his parents took him out for dinner to talk about sex).

- jack and bobby: i promise the hour-long drama bantering will stop soon - but the wb canceled jack and bobby! this is disappointing for two reasons: one being that i really like jack and bobby... two, being that my grandma watches jack and bobby. i liked the fact that we both watched the same wb show.

- work: about office jobs... well, you see, the thing is... it's so much more boring than sitting alone in the towel window on a forty-degree night. i am not kidding.

- black tie event at hannaford: today i left at 7:30. i had to take the northway to 2E and then go as far down on central as the junior prom is (well, quite literally. i'm down the road from there for work) and i figured that would take me a fairly long time. unfortunately it didn't, and i arrived at 7:38. seeing as i did not need to be there until 8, i decided i would visit the hannaford near the work place (i visited price chopper when i arrived too early yesterday). the thing is, when i walked in, i was greeted by an older man in a tuxedo, holding a silver platter of freihofer's donuts. he offered me a donut and i said no thank you, and proceeded to walk around the store wondering why i had neglected to accept his offer (i opted not to question the mere existence of the man, the tuxedo, or the silver platter). on my way out i took a donut, and smiled at him, and told him to have a nice day. ... i really do wonder about the tuxedo, though.

- hipaa video: in new york state there is are laws about patient confidentiality in healthcare and pharmaceuticals yada yada... so, naturally, as i'm working at a medical office, they forced me to sign a whole bunch of papers. they told me i had to watch a hipaa video and so i was okay with that, figuring that when nys had passed the hipaa laws they had made a nice video for healthcare workers to watch. or, it would also be cool if the visiting nurses of albany made their own video - filmed in the room where i was watching the video - and if it was just one lady sitting there talking in a monotone voice (that i could also hear in the hallway, because she worked there). to heather: remember when training videos starred goofy? and candy andy trained us?

- destroying files: amidst the boring haze that was the day, there was one tiny ray of light - thus being: the paper shredder (yes!) ... i got to shred paper. ...wow. now, imagine if this was my real life, and if that was the highlight of my day every day for the next fifty years. .........eep.

- clay, calhoun, houston, norris: henry found out his hall assignment today. he got clay.. his friends are strewn about the school but none are in clay. the reason this is upsetting is not because he has no friends in his hall (he's a nice kid, he'll make friends, it'll be fine) but moreso because HENRY GOT A HALL ASSIGNMENT. can you believe he's old enough to be going to jr. high?

- britney spears' show on upn: it's rare that i watch a show and actually think to myself "did you REALLY just say that?" ... way to go, britney.

- new colors for livejournal: i changed them, i don't know i feel about it, we'll see.

... i'm going to go be a tired old person now (office jobs are stupid. camp is awesome. i can't wait.)

smiles to all of you.
