JE100 drabbles - Obsession, Debut
It's been a really long time since I've updated my LJ, so.. posting my really fail JE100 drabbles here :D (I need to dig out the old ones..)
Title: The Importance Of Being (Good?) Sempai

Author's Notes: Sorry, really out of practice...
“ochinchin… otintin… oppai…” Yokoyama frowned in concentration. The paper in front of him was full of scrawls and crossed-out words.
“Think of more words to add to my List of Restricted Words!” Murakami entered the studio after a toilet break and was greeted by a piece of paper shoved in his face.
“As Recomen veterans, we have to teach Kis-My-Ft2 what they shouldn’t say on radio,” Yokoyama insisted, stressing The Importance Of Being Good Sempai.
“Well… let’s discuss it later”. Little did Murakami expect him to take it literally and started discussing the issue … while they were on air.

“Right, Christmas present…… asdf;ashdlka;j” Miyata buried his head under a pillow, at his wits end. Two nights had been wasted, sleepless, as he lay in bed racking his brain. What on earth could he buy for Tamamori?
Presents were always difficult. What would he want but not buy for himself (and yet still within Miyata’s means - not a galaxy nor an LV necklace)?
The following morning, he set off for Shinjuku.
“Do you have that sparkly t-shirt in size S?” he asked the salesgirl at the Yves Saint Laurent store.
At least Tamamori can never have too many YSL t-shirts.

It has been a long day, and Totsuka’s iPhone battery had long died, together with his physical battery. Not that he needed to listen to music anyway, the strains of their new song still ringing in his ears after listening to it on repeat throughout the day.
Their debut had only been confirmed this morning, but there was no time to relax, not even for a dinner break. Choreography, singing, practice and more practice - just thinking about it made his skin prickle with anticipation. Kis-My-Ft2 better look out, because A.B.C-Z are going to catch up, just like they promised to.

Walking out of the practice room, Totsuka stopped short.
Kitayama was slouched on a couch in the lobby, napping. Cracking open an eye at the footsteps, he drawled, “Sure took you long enough to tell me the big news,” and threw a bottle at him. “Congrats.”
Totsuka caught the drink with one hand, noticing how the drink had long become lukewarm. “Sorry, Hiromitsu…” he murmured.
“Let’s go for yakiniku at the usual place, my treat,” Kitayama said with a grin. “And you’d better hurry up!”
“We will.” Totsuka replied, determination in his smile.
Important things don’t change, even with debuts.

Koyama looked around the dressing room, noting how they still left half of the sofa empty out of habit, as if waiting for Ryo to take a nap there like he always did. Tegoshi was obsessively reapplying his eyeliner; Shige was on the couch idly flipping through a magazine, while Massu was perched on his usual stool, typing an emoji-filled mail to Nakamaru.
The same routine before each performance, each Countdown, every year, even if the number of people in the room had decreased over the years. Even though this was their re-debut as the new NewS, nothing has changed.

Yara banged his head rhythmically against the wall. He had entered the practice room to see Yamamoto, Tsukada, Senga and Hamanaka bouncing off the walls as if they were high on too much Coke - except that they didn’t need sugar to get this hyperactive.
The group of spazz and fail, others mocked behind them (or in their faces, if they were named Kawai or Yonehana).
With a long-suffering sigh, he yelled, “Practice time!” Now that they have debuted, Yara had no choice but to ensure Butoukan lived up to their name (if his groupmates didn’t break their skulls before that).~ . ~

“D-debut? Us? Seriously?” Marius squeaked out, huge grey eyes opened even larger in amazement. Sou and Shouri grinned widely at each other.
Fuma shifted uneasily, saying nothing, but the doubtful look in his eyes spoke plainly enough. “Again?” Being in the agency long enough, he knew it was pointless to even think about how Yugo and Hokuto would fit into the arrangement.
Kento felt the same way, but it was not the time and place to fall to pieces. Reaching out for the other boy’s hand, he squeezed it reassuringly, confident gaze answering, “This time it’s for real. I promise.”
