Quote of the whenever: "The male is a domestic animal which, if treated with firmness, can be trained to do most things."
-Jilly Cooper
It's been forever, as usual. Oh well. What can I tell you, I've been busy. Excuse the grammar... I was up at four for student council. Why we had to haze the freshmen at 5 am, I don't know...
School is... the same as always. Lots of work, I guess. It would be wonderful if we didn't have homework. I don't much care about anything else. Learning is great, and if necessary, I'll do the whole test thing, but homework is a pain.
Diving is alright. Thing is, Jess and I are the only girls from Armstrong. The other four girls are middle schoolers and a home-schooled girl who is a little annoying at times. And practices are insanely late... 9-10 pm. I've been diving fairly well recently though. And it just feels good. I always feel so relaxed after. If only I was also tired... but exercise wakes me up.
Marching band is good. Well, marching itself sucks, but the other stuff we do is fun. Like hanging out after, for instance, is quality. I'm a little afraid for the game on Friday. We kinda suck at our last drill. Okay, only the flutes do, but that's really the only line I need be concerned with, especially since we are WAY at the back of the feild. It'll probably come together... it always does.
My exhibit closed for the winter at the museum, so I will be switching. I'm debating between Chinasaurs (yes, dinos from China) and Collections, which houses the mummy (my favorite thing). If for some reason you have an opinion on which of these I should choose, feel free to comment.
I miss my nanny kids tons. Cassidy just turned 6. She's not really my baby anymore! She's such a girly girl. I am still giving Sydney flute lessons, so I'll get to see her at least once a week. And Quinn got a new haircut, not that he really cares.
This weekend I went to St. Ben's to visit my cousin Theresa. It was really fun. I'm very excited for college next year. I will be thrilled to get away from my family, as bad as that sounds. I love them, but I've had 17 years living very close to them. I'm ready to move out. It was really entertaining to run into a couple people from band at a dance there. Both of then were rather drunk. I don't think I'll ever do that whole lifestyle. Alcohol smells vile to me, and it's effects aren't that pretty. I dunno, it just doesn't seem like much fun.
Well, that's about everything, in a nutshell anyhow. Maybe I'll write again soon, but don't get your hopes up.
Ciao
