NEW YORK - (KRT) - In Iraq last April, freshly promoted Staff Sgt. Camilo Mejia led squads of Florida National Guard soldiers in the fight against insurgents in the deadly Sunni triangle.
But Mejia became increasingly pained by his war experiences, and when he went on leave last fall, he decided not to come back. The staff sergeant - one of about 600 soldiers counted as AWOL by the Army during home leaves from Iraq - was eventually labeled a deserter....
You cowardly mother-fucker. You should be shot as a traitor to this country, plain and simple!
Now, I'm not an advocate for war, but I know that it happens sometimes. And whether or not I am for or against a particular war, I want to know that I can depend on the men and women that sign up for the military to defend my freedom. If I could have, I would have signed up a long time ago.
What this is, is some pansy ass who signed up for all the benefits of serving one weekend a month and two weeks a year. Aren't those GI college grants nice? Well guess what asshole?!! You forgot about what you could be asked to do in return! if you look at the fine print it also states that your Commander in Chief could ask you to actually point one of those guns you practice with at someone who is pointing a gun at you, or as described in the above web article, lobbing grenades at you, and fucking shoot them..
If you didn't think from day one that you could pull a trigger and kill someone, you shouldn't have signed the dotted line. There is a reason why that everyone in basic training, whether you are destined to become a clerk or a SEAL, is taught to shoot a weapon. Do you know why that is? It is because at some point in time, you may be told to shoot your fucking gun at someone and kill them! Wah, fucking, wah!
Ok, you get in, you find it is not for you. You go through the proper channels to get discharged. You don't run away like a cowardly dog! Is that all you are going to do when you find yourself facing things you don't like in life? If so, you are going to lead a sad, pathetic life. I hope the military tries you and executes you so that you don't need to suffer your sad, pathetic life.
I pay my taxes damn it! I don't mind the military using some of that money to grant National Guards and Reserves benefits. They make sure our better way of life is protected, They make sure that our freedoms are preserved, so it is the least we can do. But when they are called upon to do their job, as a "stock-holder", I expect not to have to worry about whether they will or not.
For those of you who do this tough job, unwavering, and to your families, you have my undying gratitude. To those of you who decide it is ok to go AWOL on your unit and this country, because you are a pansy ass, Fuck Off And Die!
