There's a ringing sensation in her ears, and she can still taste blood in her mouth, but it doesn't matter. Because the blood is balanced by the weight of the medal hanging on her neck, and the ringing in her ears is dwarfed by the roar from the crowd in front of her. It stretches far into the distance, all around her, farther than she can see. There must be millions of them.
There are hundreds of flashing lights, all going off in the distance, as she steps to the top of the pedestal. Sakura pumps a fist in the air in triumph, the crowd roars even louder, and...
...she slips backward, stumbling off the podium.
[A dull thunk.] ...ow!
[Sakura has fallen out of bed.]
