so back in 1993 KVSC 88.1FM (the St. Cloud college station i listened to religiously) was having one of their quarterly pledge drives. of the different pledge levels, $100 was one of the highest* and that donation would get you a day of basically directing programming at the station. you could dictate the playlists and things of that nature around

with $100 being a lot of money back then (especially in semi-rural Minnesota)... nowadays, a $100 pledge to, like, KEXP barely gets you a t-shirt
