In case you don't hang out on Tumblr all day, Rolling Stone had the 8 bands left in the choose the cover contest fly to New York to record new songs (which you can download at the RS Choose the Cover site and Empires new songs are awesome, as usual) and they also had to do promo crap for Garnier as it's the big sponsor of this contest. First, there's this video which is awkward (shocker, Sean does not know how to do his hair) but lolzy. Then they did these photos where Sean literally is a reluctant pop-punk heartthrob and I will never stop loling about it. Also Tom and Ryan look super attractive and Max "brings the intensity" which is the nicest way to say "Max does not have time for this shit." All in all, this contest is bringing me so much Empires-related joy. At this point, half of my investment in them staying in the contest is so we can get more awkward/attractive photos and videos of them. The other half is seeing Tom Conrad smile.
Not much else been going on the last few days. My mother gets home tomorrow after being out of town for almost 3 weeks. My excitement level is not all that high. What else? Oh I watched all of Archer! Oh man, what a hilarious show that is totally right up my alley. It really is like Arrested Development as a spy show, everyone is a terrible, terrible person and I love it. Pam is probably my favorite. Shitsnacks!
