The streets don't give a damn
So work is going well. I mean, it's work and it's Ryan Ross' voice level monotonous but it's not too bad. I'm inputting old files of people who no longer use the staffing agency into a spreadsheet, so I get to find lots of great names like Ronald McDonald II, Elvis Money, Cash Money (no relation), Taquila, etc., along with being nosy about why people quit their old jobs. (everyone has to fill out their 7-year job history and why they left that particular job) Mostly it's just standard stuff, like being laid off or had to move, but sometimes there's "can't work with in-laws" and "fired :(". Okay, maybe it's not that funny, but it keeps my day going.
Also, the lady that I know really well told me she's got another data-entry job for me next week at the Red Cross! She should it would only last a week (which is the kind of stuff I'm looking for, really), so yay. Everything always happens at once, doesn't it?

-New Lupe Fiasco video! I really like it, it's a nice combination of amateur and professional looking and the kids in it are adorable. I'm all over the song too. He has another new song with Alicia Keys that's really different (for him) and awesome, too, but I can't find a download for it. :(
-Holy goddamn this B.o.B. album is fucking amazing. For once, a hyped artist really lives up to his name. It's so fucking good and I cannot stop listening to "Airplanes." I never would have thought about Hayley Williams singing on a rap song but her voice works super well with B.o.B.'s raps and the music. His collabs are all awesome, Lupe, Janelle Monae, even Rivers Cuomo.
-The National's new album leaked! It is also very amazing for anyone else that's a fan of them
-Of course, TYV is not touring with Rooney when they come to Asheville (Hanson is, which is kinda great in its own right). They are coming to Greenville, SC, though, which is way closer than Charlotte for me, so I might look into that.
-Also apparently that tour Empires is going on has tickets on sale for five dollars. Failbots, you do realize this is why you have no money for haircuts, right?
Random stuff!
-Jessica Szohr is one of People's Most Beautiful People! As she should be, but I'm really glad she's getting some recognition over Blake and Leighton (don't get me wrong, IL Blake and Leighton, but Jess is always pushed to the side for them) and Taylor "Life Imitating Art" Momsen. However, when I was reading comments about this, I was reminded why I should never ever do that about GG because everyone hates Vanessa but me. :(
- Brittany from Glee used to be one of Beyonce's backup dancers! I had no idea! Also I'm really mad at Ryan Murphy for denying us all the Brittany/Santana romance that is basically canon. >:(
-Speaking of Glee, how is it that Mike "I used to host GUTS on Nickelodeon and was on that horrible Yes, Dear show" O'Malley is the best fucking actor on that show? He and Kurt's relationship is really refreshing, especially when Glee fails at almost everything else involving parents (besides Finn and his mom, who I also love).
-Sandra Bullock's baby has the best disapproving face.
-As for skating stuff, all this Evan/Johnny press-fighting and retconning and slore-calling just makes me want more Stephane/Johnny where Stephane shakes his head a lot at Johnny for his antics, until Johnny reminds him that Evan keeps calling him "that Swiss guy."
