My favourite reaction to my human/mannequin Forgotton Anne fic, from

salanaland: I saw the notification email and quickly went from “yay, Riona put up a new fic!” to “what” to “SERIOUSLY WHAT” to “well that's Riona Rionaing for you”. I'm glad my writing choices manage to be simultaneously bewildering and predictable.
More Buffy! I'm now eight episodes in.
I wasn't expecting to like Angel, but I sort of love what a huge awkward weirdo he is, and the episode 'Angel' is a perfect showcase of that. Lurking and watching Buffy with his perpetual extremely serious expression. Showing up and greeting Buffy's mother when Buffy is very clearly trying to conceal 'there's a handsome older guy in the house' from her. (I'm very amused that Buffy's mother doesn't buy that he's a student, given that every pupil in Buffy's school looks about thirty.) Disclosing his tragic backstory to Buffy and then following it up immediately with 'You even look pretty when you go to sleep,' as if that's a normal non-alarming thing to say to someone you're not involved with when you're in their bedroom for practical reasons.
I've heard a lot of things about Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but nothing ever led me to suspect that Angel was the funniest character.
Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! continues to be absolutely delightful. All these fleshed-out locations I'd only previously seen drawn in simple monochrome lines on the Game Boy! It's all so different, and yet it feels so familiar. I know this world, and now I'm actually seeing it.
A couple of days ago, Ginger asked whether Eevee would ever evolve. I said the game probably wouldn't let you evolve your partner, and I demonstrated by trying to use an evolutionary stone on Wren. 'Wren doesn't seem to like it!' the game told me.
The next time I checked on Wren, he was turned away and sulking, and I felt so bad about it. I poked him a few times, and he refused to look at me, but then he started to smile slightly, and eventually he turned around and went 'okay, fine, I accept your cuddles'.
I was so delighted that Blue showed up at Silph Co. and went 'okay, here's our plan to defeat Team Rocket, now you guys have to defeat me in a Pokémon battle to prove you're up to it.' I love Blue and I'm so happy that he's come back to be obnoxious in this game. (He's had some character growth, he's slightly less obnoxious than he was in Red version, but he's still fun.)
I get the impression that Blue's flirting a bit with my rival, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. My rival's meant to be in miserable unrequited love with me, Blue! Don't steal that away!
(Then I watched the 'THERE'S A DEMON IN THE INTERNET' episode of Buffy, and Xander was annoyed that Willow's Internet boyfriend was distracting her from her unrequited crush on him, and I went, 'Wait, am I Xander? That doesn't feel good.')
