HERE IS A MILDLY ALARMING FACT FOR YOU: I have come across about fifteen genderswap stories in the Top Gear fandom. I may have written one of them.

I think that 'RICHARD HAMMOND IS A WOMAN' has somehow become one of the fandom's injokes (along with 'Piers Morgan is a zombie' (the zombie section of the crackfic list has eight stories in it, and the only reason it isn't more is because sometimes the Zombie Piers Morgan fics fit into other categories) and 'Jonathan Ross writes terrible Jeremy/Richard fanfiction'), which may go some way towards explaining it. Clarkson and May occasionally retain their manhood in genderswap fics, but Hammond is always a woman. But goodness knows how 'RICHARD HAMMOND IS A WOMAN' originally came about.

(I am convinced that a female Richard Hammond would look like Anne Hathaway.)

'What a character would be most likely to order in a fifties-style diner' is not an area of characterisation in which I am terribly confident.

It is my opinion that Jack, having worked out that nothing changes his marvellous physique, is now a colossal pig and has probably ordered the ENTIRE MENU.

I like this theory on Jack's eating habits and shall adopt it immediately.

He just wanders around the Hub eating cinnamon danishes AT Gwen whenever she's on a diet. "Om nom nom I can eat whatever I liiiiike" while Gwen sighs and Ianto sort of stands there torn between reprimand and giggling.

Sharpay Mary Sue! Oh dear.

"he completely freaks out, rather to Balthier's amusement." Are you saying Dean WOULDN'T think the life of a sky pirate is utterly awesome? 'Cause I think he would.

SEIFER WOULD FAIL AT WOOING SO MUCH. He could invite Selphie to blow something up, that might work. And they should hire Squall to write lyrics for some sad emo songs.

Ah, but who would play Foreman in Cameron: The Movie? Or would Foreman wander around being terribly confused?

If Clarkson and the Master were to team up, the whole thing would be on fire long before the Doctor could turn up to stop the plan, so that's good. Sort of.

I've read a Jared/Jensen RPS AU in which they did have to figure skate. One of them was an actual figure skater whose partner broke a leg, and the other was a reluctant hockey player who just wanted to be on the Olympics but couldn't for hockey. Or something.

I am slightly disappointed by the lack of Aragorn as played by Brian Blessed, though. AMAZING VERSION OF LORD OF THE RINGS.

I can't think of anyone on the list who could really portray Foreman. I'd say 'maybe Dean?', but Sam and whoever's playing Foreman need to have sexual tension (because I am a gigantic Cameron/Foreman 'shipper), and I'm not sure the Winchesters would be comfortable with playing those roles in relation to each other.

One of them was an actual figure skater whose partner broke a leg, and the other was a reluctant hockey player who just wanted to be on the Olympics but couldn't for hockey.

...I - I can't stop laughing.

(What I really want is a version of Lord of the Rings in which everyone is played by Brian Blessed.)

(EDIT: Also, I think Dean might come around to the idea of sky pirating eventually, but at first I think he would be extremely alarmed by airships. He doesn't like aeroplanes, after all, and airships look far less suited to being up in the sky.)

Foreman can play himself, then. He's awesome enough for it.

You'd know he'd be all over it if he could somehow use the Impala is the sky-pirating.

Brian Blessed would be the best Gimli ever, but as Legolas he would be AMAZING.

An Unlikely Pair, and the summary reads as follows: U.S. figure skating champions, Jensen Ackles & Sophia Bush are aiming for Olympic Gold, but an injury threatens to knock them out of the 2010 Winter Olympics. U.S. Hockey player, Jared Padalecki has just been kicked off the team for fighting with a fellow teammate over an alleged affair.
A surprise twist of fate comes for all of them, when Sophia, who also happens to be Jared's cousin, finds out there's no rules in Figure Skating preventing two members of the same sex to be a pair. Now this unlikely pair of men are working together to achieve their dream of Olympic Gold.

Have fun with that!

...Reading those has made me realise something.

I think I'd be quite willing to ship Pyramid Head/Master. He'd keep Pyramid Head as a pet and baby talk to it, while pulling sad faces. "Has that mean old man hit my Pyrry-wirry with the wooden plank again. D'awww. Shall I destroy the entire Earth just to get rid of him for you? Isn't Master nice..."
I mean, the Toclafane weren't exactly the friendliest of pets...

That is scarily plausible.
