fun times with Qui!
Ris and I headed on our road trip this week and had tons of fun with Aquita! We left early in the morning on Tuesday, and arrived in Cleveland probably around 1:30. The drive was a real breeze! And of course we kept ourselves amused with good tunes and humor. We had such a chill time with Qui, it was awesome. It was kind of like we were living in the daily life of Aquita. Tuesday we caught up for a bit then headed out to dinner. Next she took us to her praise dance team rehearsal which was really cool! Who knew Qui had it in her?!?! After practice we catched a movie, then headed on home for some much needed sleep.
Wednesday we slept in and lounged around. Aquita lives right on Lake Erie....I mean so close you can see it from her house. So we headed to a local park on the water and hung out...fed the birds. The best part of wednesday was the night time where we had a movie marathon with one of our favorites from the old days....VANITY FAIR! Vanity Fair is this 6 hour BBC production of the classic tale, and we love it all the way down to the vixen Becky Sharp to the bad trumpet music. And don't you know we watched all 6 hours! Qui and Ris lasted through the whole thing...but I know for sure I took atleast 2 little cat naps somewhere in there. Hey, a girl gets tired sometimes!
Thursday, again took our times getting up and then we went to this new coffee shop down the street from her house. It was gorgeous out so we walked and then had some coffee and gelato. yum! Next we headed to Aquita's ballroom dancing class, which was a hoot. Well, Qui did brush us up on some of the basic moves before we got there. But just imagine....us 3 among 50+ aged people ballroom dancing. It was freakin awesome! And we did learn a lot!
Unfortunely, evening came around and we had to head off for our 6 hour drive back. It is always so sad to say goodbye! But it is great to see her so happy. And I was so glad that we got to go out and see her!
Now it is back to reality. Luckily I came home to a clean house, which is always nice. I picked up Casey from boarding this morning and he was super happy to see me! Now he is marathon sleeping, which he usually does when I get him from boarding. I could wave a big block of cheese in front of him and he wouldn't budge. Well...maybe twitch a little :) I have one more week of freedom before heading back to work, so I plan on enjoying every minute of it!!
