My beard was the only thing holding the forces of evil at bay

...and now it's gone, and today sucked.

First thing I hear when I wake up is the phone ringing, then Penney's asking where the heck I'm at on my answering machine. I look to my clock to see it flashing 1:45. Appearantly the power went out sometime ago. I rush off to work, and as I'm walking in, there's an ambulance sitting outside our west enterance. I shrug it off, some stupid customer must be hurt. I head upstairs, punch in and head through the stockroom to my department, oddly enough there's a small crowd packed inside a smaller office in back, turns out somebody was working in back and randomly passed out. I never did find out who it was. I get shooed off by my manager and head onto the sales floor, right into a big fiasco of drama in the window department. One of our salespeople had stolen a rather large order or two from another salesperson and was yelling at them for it, since they're on commission this means a lot. I decide not to get involved and keep walking. Time passes and not much happens. I get probably the first good news all day when Mary Jo calls and tells me she found some people to help me later with taking down the stage. (I help her out by dismantling the stage for the Capitol City Band, who plays really old music for really old people, and her husband is the conductor) Sadly, she called back not half an hour later asking my manager if she could have tomorrow off because her mother just had a stroke of some kind.

Most of the rest of the day didn't go so bad, after I got home I ran Corinne's Tauren through Wailing Caverns in WoW, then ran a retard guildmate through...that kid had no idea what "stay behind me" meant, so he'd keep charging in and died at least three times...after finally getting him through it, I went to take down the stage, Mary Jo was there, her mom in the hospital supervised by her brothers. She might be ok, but there's no assurance, she'd been acting weird for the last couple of days.

After that, I come home and Sam calls for the first time in for freakin' EVER! We have a short chat, not having too terribly much to catch up on, seeing as neither one of us do much different each day. We hang up and I go back to playing Tenchu Z (awesome ninja game)

and that was my day of doom...not nearly as bad as Laura's month, but horrendously evil compared to my normal days.
