ok...so i'm still alive obviously, but it was freakin AWESOME!!!
after playing Halo and SSBM at em's til 2:30am, i went home and finally got to sleep around 4am...only to wake up at 6 to my dads jackassery. 6:45 i actually get out of bed and get ready for the day...6:55 i'm all ready...but nobody else is...lamers
so we drive out towards milwaukee to Skyknights parachute thingymajig (i'm not sure what to call it) i read X-men comics the whole 1.5 hours out there. when we finally got there, we're filling out the legal forms and my dad is freaking out that he cant sue the place if something happens during his jump, so he decides not to go and continues to complain as we finish everything up. we watch a movie with this guy with a hilariously long greyed beard, but cleancut dark brown hair. i seriously thought he was going to pull it off randomly. we wait around for a while and watch the groups before us come down, getting more and more excited each time. the time before my sister went though, we saw a deployed chute come down without a person, it turned out that one of the peoples chutes had a problem so he had to ditch it and open the secondary chute, they said it was rare and the secondary chute has never failed. so a little shaken but still determined.
after much waiting, we finally get strapped up and get in the airplane. on the way up, my tandem guy (the person i'm strapped to so i dont have to spend 6 hours training) tells me all of whats gonna happen. meanwhile theres a guy going up with us that's just practicing his photography skills while jumping so he offers to take a video and pics of my flight. so hopefully i'll be getting those in the mail within the next week and i will flaunt it everywhere.
anyway, i go up, and he throws me out of the plain, i must say, freefall is the best part of skydiving, after that comes the jerking of the chute coming out then the crotch-riding of the harness on the way down. fun times had by all though (except my dad...haha)
after all that, i went home and then saw The Simpsons Movie with em, dan and sean. now we're just hanging out and talking about WoW...fun times
