Hellcats vs SPN

Nov 22, 2010 01:03

I can't believe I'm more thrilled for the new eps of Hellcats than Supernatural these days. If you judge me for this, I don't blame you.

And I'm not even *more* thrilled as in, I don't care about Hellcats, but I care about SPN even less. I came to actively enjoy this shiny silly preachy cheerleading show. As I came to passively anticipate SPN as the sign that weekend has arrived. Reading positive episode reactions to SPN makes me slightly uncomfortable because I thought the rapid drop in writing and directing quality (even camera work got more tacky than before!) between ep 5x22 and 6x01 was obvious enough to piss off more people. Of course, I'm basing my assumption that it didn't on my flist alone, because I'm too lazy to survey the distribution of nu!SPN hate in fandom. I'm awkwardly trying not to hate Sera Gamble because she got enough irrational fandom hate before the s6 premiere. I'm also trying to enjoy the unoriginal plot and the hollow, token interactions between pod!Sam and woobie!Dean. I feel like I'm watching fanfic cliches playing out, without the porn. I feel so lonely with being all :| :| :| about the show for a reason other than there's not enough Sam!love or Dean!love or Castiel!love or any combination thereof. The show just got unengaging and cheesy. I wonder if it's just me. Give me my show back! :(

Is it true that the deal for season 7 is sealed? I was horrified to read that.

woe, spn
