LJ CHANGES & SOME WORDS

Mar 06, 2010 15:55

I've been checking out LJ themes trying to find one that would make me really want to post more on my LJ. Of course, I've had no real success in this area. There are some themes that fit what I want, but are either for only paid accounts or else you really can't change at all. I'm considering a paid account more because I may be able to create my own LJ theme that would fit me, personally. But, with my monetary funds, that is not very feasible right now.

Been having some difficulties at my job. The new person, who took over as head production supervisor, has been calling people in for a pep talk about getting our pars up to snuff. I was included with this. So, I have to drop all the extra operations, that have been added for reasons to help the testers get the orders tested quickly and out to QC, and get more speed in my production work. The guy's not a bad egg. He's really nice, but not knowledgeable about some of the problems we have in working with parts that we get. Hopefully as time goes on, he'll realize some of the difficulties and lay off a bit. I'm, also, praying that God will help me with my work to make me more efficient at my job.

Had a nice breakfast at The Good Egg with Jan and a friend. They did have a discussion about evolution, but I kept my mouth sealed out of respect and to avoid tension with our friend. He's kind of got a scientific mind set. So, both in politics and in science, I kind of lay low for peace sake. I disagree with evolution because I have not seen enough evidence to factually prove it. Lining up a group of bones doesn't prove anything to me. In fact, there has not been enough bones that show any form of variance between species. Plus, how can you get a cold-blooded creature to produce warm-blooded offspring? I can keep going on and on, but I don't want to keep beating over a dead horse. Lets just say, when I see a cold-blooded fish or lizard bring offspring that are warm-blooded ... I may consider the possibility of evolution. And just because viruses can evolve does not prove anything. They are totally different type of life than a mammal, reptile, amphibian, fish or human.
Anyways, to get back on the subject, we did have a good laugh when our friend showed pictures of him in those cut out props as a cowboy and an old-western Belle. I asked him when did he ever start cross-dressing? We all cracked up on that one. All in all it was a really enjoyable time of fellowship.

I do get lonely, here, though. I see the place degrading because I just don't have the tools nor the knowledge to keep things up. Plus, I do get real busy and I just don't feel like doing much most of the time because of my job. Also, I have never been very good with plants to begin with and there is a tree in front that seems to be dying on me. I really need a biblical "help-meet". A female companion who can help me with getting this place back to the original order it was. I do expect that God has that person, somewheres. I just have to wait and keep on being obedient in trusting in Him for both my provision and help.

One thing else. I am having my own difficulties in dealing with my comments not being replied to or any answer to some of my postings by those who I consider my friends, either on LJ or the U&G pub. I just feel ignored. I'm not trying to be judgmental to anyone or that I want everyone's attention. That's just not the case. I guess I just need a kind word of thanks when I try to encourage anyone or just an acknowledgment that I'm accepted or thought of. Then again, I don't always comment or post on my friends posts, at times, as well. So, I do understand that you can't post, comment or acknowledge everyone's posts or comments all the time, who you know. So, I do understand why others don't comment or reply to me. It's just that sometimes my loneliness can be a bit overwhelming. It's a battle that I know that God will give me victory in.

God Bless,
Jeff Ringtail
