"How does it look?" Conner turned around, showing off her new super-short haircut with a bit of fringe for the bangs. Not only had she gotten her hair cut, but the usual black was spiked and tipped with bleached blonde.

"What in God's name did you do to your hair?" Lily gawked, in total shock. Just a couple hours ago, Conner had walked into the stylist's with long, luxurious hair that went down to her knees. This was not the same woman she'd come to love.

"Donated it! As much as I could. And I figured what the hell, since I was gonna get it chopped off so far anyways, may as well go for a cute makeover, right?" Conner smiled - that same smile that always melted Lily's anger away and made her mind fill up with fluff. There was no way she had it in her to yell at her girlfriend over this blatant breach of romantic contract. It just wasn't going to happen, now or ever.

Lily moved closer, reaching out to touch the tiny spikes and take a closer look at how far the bleaching had gone. Less than half an inch, at a guess. "It looks good on you," she finally said after a moment.

"You're not just saying that? I don't look like some hideous monster with all my hair chopped off?"

Lily laughed, then pulled Conner in for a kiss. "Would I be kissing you if you were a hideous monster?"

Conner looked thoughtful for a moment, humming. "I dunno, you went after that lawyer girl one time..." The smart-assed comment earned her a smack on the shoulder followed by another kiss.

"Shut up and let's go home."
