It's almost 10 AM, August 16, and, with a rainy breeze going, it is a very chilly 55 degrees here.
Usually by this point in the day I've got all the doors and windows open, but that may be delayed awhile today. Yesterday I was actually pleased that it looked like we were returning to some summery weather, and was anticipating a week or so of that. After a lifetime in Colorado, however, I should know better.
In other news... The cats are chasing each other around the yard to see who can get the dead mouse. Amelia caught it, and wanted to bring it inside, but then Harry took it away from her -- mayhem ensues now.
Still no television, but several movies were watched over the weekend: The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, The Relic (the brother, having never read the book, as he's one of those non-fiction only people who disdain fiction, thinks it's great), Forbidden Planet, The Uninvited, Them! (which actually struck me as way closer to a Pendergast=D'Agosta adventure), and Iron Man, which was the only one I hadn't seen before, and which turned out to be much better than expected.
That was about it.
And I think it might be up to 56 now -- and... I believe the mouse has been snarfed.
