I'm gone from here a day and a half, and it's skip=100?
My absence wasn't voluntary, but due to the phone connection wonking out Wednesday. Not even static. Just dead dead dead. Since life has taught me to be a glass-half-empty kind of gal I figured okay, so now the phone's going to be out for who knows how long, and that means no internet, and what am I going to do about those two books on their way from paperbackswap.com folk? That's what was bugging me most, that other people were going to have to be effected by the perpetual aggravations of my life. So not fair to them.
So, just now (well, a few minutes ago) the expected books arrive, and -- positive it's hopeless to even bother trying, since every other check to see if things were working yet had been vastly disappointing -- I plug stuff in, lift the phone receiver ... and get a dial tone!
What happened to make it go dead I have no idea. Why it's back now without anyone doing anything I have no clue. But I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Just in case though: Birthday wishes to Maddie and Danielle, and anyone else coming in the next few days; and belated ones to Colleen.
