Summary: Chinen, who was a "weird boy" described by the people who knew him,had enough of reading a book about happiness. he wanted to experience it, he set out on a adventure and somehow found such a place. he found someone. since then, his life has become more joyful and meaningful. but what if that joy can't last forever? what if he needs to abandon it so that everyone would be happy? what if... love isn't really joy?
In a faraway land, where there is not much people, no tall buildings, just small huts for houses. there's not much technology just like the old age. but, everyone was happy. they were contented. at peace. they didn't really need anything since their forests have been giving them everything they need. well, most were happy... except for one...
Chinen Yuri, everyone knew chinen. who wouldn't? you could say that he is the most dashing guy that ever existed in that place as long as they can remember... he's not that tall but both girls AND boys would do anything just to be his lover. not only was he dashing, he could be almost called perfect... smart, talented, strong, sweet.. angelic? name it.. he has it all! but, no one really knows what he's thinking of... they would usually see him sitting on a branch of a particular tree which was near his house, reading a book.... it was always the same book. some people, adults, calls him weird. but even so, a lot of people were mesmerized by his mysterious ways...
Today, again, he's there.. sitting as usual, reading a book.... a lot of people wonders what book it was.. but no matter how many times people would ask him, he would just smile and say.. "something special".. as if he doesn't want to let other people read the book.
"in the end, both of them looked at the sunrise. happy to be with each other again. to be in each other's arms. The end."
chinen closed the book as he just finished reading it for more than 50 times... he then looked up to the sky and started wondering when he will be able to find it? happiness...
"How lucky, they found it... i wonder if i also looked at the sunrise i would also find my happiness?" chinen thought. even after reading his book for more than 50 times, he still don't get it. what is happiness? what makes it so special? will that end his lonely days? chinen kept thinking about it again and again for hours.. he would just sit there.. on a branch.. wondering why he still haven't found his "happiness".
"This tree? is this my happiness? what would i do if this tree would be gone? would i cry? would i feel any more lonelier? maybe.. at first, i was just curious what this place would look like on a higher view. but as time passes by, i got used to staying up here.. no wonder people would call me weird.. i'm not a monkey! why am i here anyway? maybe it's time to find a new place?"
it was true, he didn't really intended to make this tree as his "usual" place... it just became like that. after seeing what his village looked like from a higher view, he got amused that he would always go there and secretly but accidentaly would look at what other people would doing...
now, chinen was not really the type who would change his decision once he has put his mind on it. he stood up, carefuly went down. and went inside his house. opening his door, he found his mom shocked. of course, who would not be surprised to see their son, who usually goes out early in the morning and would stay up in the tree and would come home late at night, be inside the house even before noon?
"don't worry mom.. i just wanted a new schedule" chinen laughed.
"that's good dear. just remember to come home earlier this time ok?" mrs. chinen said while pointing at the clock that was hanging on the wall.
"i know i know" smiling, he went to his room and got his bag. he needed materials for his so-called schedule-hunting. chinen was a lazy person but, if he's interested, he could be quite a perfectionist. after preparing all the stuffs he need, he went out of the house and very deeply, he breathed. "aah~ perfect weather ~" putting his arms together, grinning, you could say that it was the most cutest expression you would ever see in a person. people who saw it were half blushing and half wondering why he wasn't on the tree as he usually was.
"good morning chinen!" a much taller guy than him, handsome too and known, tapped his shoulder.
"good morning yutti~" chinen smiled.
it was his childhood friend, yuto. he would sometimes accompany chinen while he was reading his book. this guy usually is very energetic. it's not that he was the exact opposite of chinen because chinen usually is an energetic boy, if only he would stop thinking about this "happiness". both of them get along well because they have similar likes. also, chinen found him interesting.
"not on the tree huh?"
"nope~ i was just wondering again about "happiness" when it hit me.. how could i find it when i just stay there? i need to live!" he then laughed.
"good decision chinen! you know, i thought about forcing you to stay away from that tree today, but i guess, worrying was stupid.. so, where are you going? and.. what's in the bag?"
yuto pointed that bag that chinen had on his back. chinen seemed reluctant to answer because he knew that once he tells yuto about his "adventure" he would insist to come too.. which would only bother chinen.
"sorry yutti, it's a secret.. i'm saving it for later! so be good and leave me alone for a while ok?"
yuto seemed suspicious by the weird acts of his friend. but, since he likes surprises, he promised not to meddle with whatever chinen was going to do.
"Jyaa.. ittekimasu~ wish me luck yutti!" then, chinen continued on with his blind journey.. he didn't know what direction he should go but, following his instinct to go east was not such a bad idea. so.. he went.. not knowing what he will be going to encounter.
"wow! i never knew this forest was so big! and beautiful! wow! i should've done this before!" chinen started out with excitement but, after minutes had passed, hours had passed, he was losing interest and even more, his energy. not only that, he could feel that he was lost and he doesn't know how to go back anymore.. "this... *pant* this is the worst idea i have ever had! remind me why i did that again?! *pant*" chinen was now getting tired and he was starting to think that doing this was pointless.. it was like suicide... walking.. tired, he didn't even notice the small cliff in front of him and fell..
"ouch... my foot... it was not much of a fall but, it was enough to sprain the ankle of our dashing boy. before he started wailing and complaining, he noticed that where he is right now is very different from where he was before... there was a stream! a clean and clear one... lots of birds were chirping. sun shining over the place.. it was like the place that was decribed in his book.. "paradise"... "who are you?"
a voice that seemed like it came somewhere nearby was heard... chinen couldn't see where it came from but he knew that it was just near him...
"where are you?" chinen asked.. there was a sudden silence
"great... now i'm hallucinating weird things" chinen thought. he felt stupid for answering a question with another question.. even more.. he's talking to nobody! he was starting to pity himself. he took out a mat from his bag and place some food.
"hey! don't eat here!" a voice was heard again! chinen was getting irritated with his thoughts. he ignored the voice and started making a sandwhich. he almost made a bite when someone grabbed his hand and made him look at the other's face.
"didn't you hear me?! no eating!"
chinen moved back with terror in his eyes. he was shocked! he didn't know that someone was actually here. he really believed that the voice was only his imagination. not only that, he noticed that it was also a guy. not much taller than him, but he is definitely more mature than him because of the voice. the other, who noticed the squirrel's shocked face. let go of chinen's hand and sighed. he threw the sandwhich to somewhere where it seemed like very very far. chinen didn't see where it land, nor did he hear it. scared? that's not the only thing that chinen thought. he was getting curious to who this guy was.
"i think i remembered asking you who you were right?"
the mysterious boy asked.
"umm.. m.. chi-chinen yuri desu..."
chinen answered while standing up and bowing.
"and? where do you come from?"
"oh, umm.. i live just around here.. there's a village near here.. and.. i wanted to explore the forest and somehow, i got here.."
chinen tried to explain but, the other boy didn't seemed convinced. as if chinen was lying from the first word he uttered.
"i would believe you when you said that you live just near here. but, somehow got here? i don't think so... tell the truth liar!"
chinen was offended. not only was his food thrown away, he was also accused of being a liar!
"excuse me? me? a liar? i'm not you idiot! i'm telling the truth! i fell from a umm.. well.. it's not really a cliff but, something like that! and, when i noticed it, i'm here! besides, why do you think it's hard for people to get here?"
the boy just stood. thinking if he should believe what this squirrel was talking about.
"fine, don't believe me!" chinen packed his food and mat and started walking. but someone blocked him,
"ok, i believe you. just.. stay here for a while.. accompany me.."
the boy toured chinen around this "paradise". both of them talked. they had fun actually, chinen never felt this at-ease before... this boy had gentleness and purity which attracted chinen. before they knew it, it was almost time for chinen to go back home. "so umm.. i need to go now, i had fun. thank you" chinen bowed while giving the boy the biggest smile he could ever give." the boy just nodded and returned the smile. this caught chinen's attention. his smile was different. it was full of compassion and sincerity. but, within it, he could feel loneliness. "umm.. you know, can i come back to this place sometime?" the boy looked up and looked pleased. "yes! yes please! i would be happy too~" chinen smiled with this reaction. he thought that the boy was so cute! he pinched the boy's cheeks, and was surprised because, his cheeks were so squishy and soft. before he knew it, it's been a few minutes since chinen started pinching the boy's cheeks. it was now red. "by the way, what your name?" chinen asked giving the boy a handkerchief so that it would lessen the pain of the boy's cheeks. "ryosuke.. you can call me that."
chinen waved goodbye and went towards the place where ryosuke pointed out as a shortcut to his village. after walking a few minutes, he was shocked because, he found himself at the back of the tree he used to sit for hours! who knew that behind this tree, there was something and someone interesting? chinen went inside of his house. still can't believe of what he just found today. he looked at the clock and saw that it was already 11pm. he ate his dinner that was left on the table by his mom and immedietely went to bed. he can't wait for the next day.
for the next few days,chinen kept coming to that "paradise" and played with ryosuke. he always had a fun time there. he never felt lonely and he wondered if this was his "happiness".
"ne~~ ryosuke~ what are we going to do today?" chinen asked ryosuke after just arriving. it's been 2 months already since both of them met and not once have they fought. their bond was stronger than friendship. looking at ryosuke, he was very attractive... so cool and mature... he looked like as if he was not human... he was so beautiful that chinen can't even describe.. chinen don't know what it was but, he just left it because he was too busy to think about it.
"can i ask you something yuri?" chinen was shocked! this was the first time ryosuke called him by his name... it was usually just chii... but, he was still happy with this.
"sure ryosuke~ what?"
"if i tell you i loved you what would you do?"
"huh?" ryosuke came closer and stared into the black orbs of this cute little squirrel under him.
"I love you yuri."
"I.. i love you too ryosuke~" chinen answered with a smile. it was obvious that ryosuke was not pleased with this answer because he pouted, as much as chinen always liked this reaction, he was worried. "what's wrong?"
"i didn't mean that way yuri.. i meant.. something else..."
"ryosuke, if you're not going to be clear enough, you know i won't get it.. you know that."
chinen then got shocked when ryosuke suddenly grabbed his arms and stared at him. he then placed one hand on his cheeks and caressed them. before chinen could react, ryosuke placed his lips against him. he kissed him. at first it was an innocent one but then, it turned into a passionate one. in fact, ryosuke wanted more. he kept pushing his tongue on chinen's lips. wanting to be able to get in. seeing that chinen doesn't get it, ryosuke pinched chinen's cheeks and accidentaly opened his mouth.. ryosuke took this oppurtunity and shoved his tongue to chinen's wet cavern. ryosuke sucked chinen's tongue and kept exploring chinen. the kiss was so deep and passionate that chinen couldn't handle it anymore and got weak in the knees. ryosuke managed to catch chinen but this doesn't mean their kiss stopped. it even got hotter. this time chinen was moaning and ryosuke was panting. ryosuke carried chinen like a princess while still kissing and brought placed him under a shady tree. ryosuke was now on top of chinen. ryosuke stopped kissing chinen for a while to stare at chinen's eyes. then, after, he dove for chinen's collar bone. sucking it and leaving marks. he was kissing chinen all over as if chinen was his favorite food, strawberry. he slid his hand under chinen's clothing and started pinching chinen's cherry nipples.
"aaah~ ngg.. ryo.. suke... wha..t are yo..u doing...?" chinen moaned in pleasure. he didn't even notice that he was shirtless now. this time, ryosuke sucked chinen's right nipple while one of his hands is pinching and massaging the left. chinen couldn't help but release cute and loud moans. this motivated ryosuke to do more. he reached for something inside chinen's pants. but, when chinen felt it, he pushed ryosuke with all of his might. both of them just sat there.. silence..
"i.. love you this way yuri.. please..."
"I..... i don't know yet ryosuke.. i.. don't know.." chinen looked down wondering really hard what he feels. he was sure that this is not only friendship he felt. he knew it was more but he wasn't sure...
"yuri.. I love you and i'll never ever hurt you. i would sacrifice myself for you. please.. say that you love me too..." ryosuke looked begging. he looked like he was about to cry, even more, he looked like he was dying.... he didn't know what to do if chinen would reject him and hate him.
"I.. I'm not yet sure ryosuke but.. i'm sure this is not just friendship that i feel for you..." chinen blushed with what he said.. he was not really good in expressing his feelings.
"really?! yuri! i love you!! and i will make you realize that you love me too!" ryosuke said hugging chinen. he was really happy! true, chinen did not say that he loves him too.. but at least chinen didn't hate him.. he was happy enought for that.....
that day, ryosuke spoiled and doted and loved chinen more than ever! both of them were really sweet! but, the time that chinen have to leave has come... as usual, chinen waved goodbye to ryosuke.. when he was about to go, ryosuke suddenly pulled him and gave him a light kiss... "see you tomorrow yuri.. and.. i love you..." chinen blushed but nodded...
after reaching home, he was welcomed by yuto, his childhood friend, it's been a long time since they've talked since chinen was always with ryosuke.. "ne chinen, where do you go to always?" he asked. "no where really...." yuto didn't looked convinced. chinen was starting to get nervous but since, he knows he can trust yuto, he told him everything...
"what?! you met.."
"un! he's really nice yuto~ you should also meet him.." well.. chinen doesn't really want that because he wants to be together with ryosuke more but..
"stop it chinen.. don't go to that place anymore..."
"yuto?"
"I SAID STOP!! NEVER!! NEVER!!! DON'T GO THERE! GOT IT!?"

"aaah~ ngg.. ryo.. suke... wha..t are yo..u doing...?" chinen moaned in pleasure. he didn't even notice that he was shirtless now. this time, ryosuke sucked chinen's right nipple while one of his hands is pinching and massaging the left. chinen couldn't help but release cute and loud moans. this motivated ryosuke to do more. he reached for something inside chinen's pants. but, when chinen felt it, he pushed ryosuke with all of his might. both of them just sat there.. silence..
"i.. love you this way yuri.. please..."
"I..... i don't know yet ryosuke.. i.. don't know.." chinen looked down wondering really hard what he feels. he was sure that this is not only friendship he felt. he knew it was more but he wasn't sure...
"yuri.. I love you and i'll never ever hurt you. i would sacrifice myself for you. please.. say that you love me too..." ryosuke looked begging. he looked like he was about to cry, even more, he looked like he was dying.... he didn't know what to do if chinen would reject him and hate him.
"I.. I'm not yet sure ryosuke but.. i'm sure this is not just friendship that i feel for you..." chinen blushed with what he said.. he was not really good in expressing his feelings.
"really?! yuri! i love you!! and i will make you realize that you love me too!" ryosuke said hugging chinen. he was really happy! true, chinen did not say that he loves him too.. but at least chinen didn't hate him.. he was happy enought for that.....
that day, ryosuke spoiled and doted and loved chinen more than ever! both of them were really sweet! but, the time that chinen have to leave has come... as usual, chinen waved goodbye to ryosuke.. when he was about to go, ryosuke suddenly pulled him and gave him a light kiss... "see you tomorrow yuri.. and.. i love you..." chinen blushed but nodded...
after reaching home, he was welcomed by yuto, his childhood friend, it's been a long time since they've talked since chinen was always with ryosuke.. "ne chinen, where do you go to always?" he asked. "no where really...." yuto didn't looked convinced. chinen was starting to get nervous but since, he knows he can trust yuto, he told him everything...
"what?! you met.."
"un! he's really nice yuto~ you should also meet him.." well.. chinen doesn't really want that because he wants to be together with ryosuke more but..
"stop it chinen.. don't go to that place anymore..."
"yuto?"
"I SAID STOP!! NEVER!! NEVER!!! DON'T GO THERE! GOT IT!?"
