Failsafe = FAIL

Google is too smart for its own good, it seems.

I've been trying to track down any reviews people might have of Thousand Leaves, which is more difficult than one might think. The biggest barrier, really, is the fact that the book is written under my real name, and so for folks out there who might have read and reviewed it, they wouldn't necessarily know that it was "Rikoshi" who wrote it. And as it turns out, "Thousand Leaves" isn't all that uncommon a title for things, so finding my Thousand Leaves can be a bit tricky.

There are some obvious ways to narrow down the search, like by having my search terms be "Thousand Leaves" and "Sofawolf," or "Thousand Leaves" and my real name. And those get hits--not a lot of them, but they're there.

Anyhow, it dawned on me that, hey, maybe people have posted about this book Thousand Leaves that they picked up at Anthrocon? So I decided to try searching for "Thousand Leaves" and "Anthrocon."

Google, however, as it turns out, knows too much. A search for "Thousand Leaves" plus "Anthrocon" also happens to include simple hits for "Thousand Leaves" and "AC."

And really, that doesn't help narrow things down at all, let me tell ya. :)

(And incidentally, if any of you do know where some reviews of Thousand Leaves might be posted, do please let me know, because I'm obviously naturally very curious.)
