Bork Legacy, Generation 6.5!

Aug 08, 2015 02:34

It's pixel_trade time! Current spouse, Helle Almassy, is all raemia's fault.

Last time, poor Helle nearly immediately had a second miscarriage. Given that I was trying to earn Thor's second LTW to marry off six children, Helle was expecting yet again, soon after. I finally realized part of Helle's issue was that she was obsessed with her husband, to the point of neglecting everything else. The children had batshit sleep schedules. After using Helle's one adult command to make her drink some coffee, I built the Helle Almassy-Bork Pregnancy Containment Center to ensure that both Helle and her unborn lived through the current pregnancy. With Thor babysitting his wife constantly, Zisa took over childcare entirely.

Syn became a teenager, rolling double Fortune. The ghosts from the Quiet Family challenge began to rise from the grave. Syn noogied many (all?) of her younger siblings, and proved within hours that she was better at autonomy than her mother. Helle finally gave birth to ONE child, a daughter named Frigg (for multiple reasons). Thor and Helle autonomously decided that another pregnancy was a fucking fantastic idea. The weekly challenge led to the family losing 60,000 simoleons. It wasn't that big of a deal. Thor topped his career. Zisa managed to die off-screen, to my horror and disappointment. Frig became a toddler. Helle, unsurprisingly, had another miscarriage, which really, really, really especially devastated her.

Finally, the triplets became teens, they all grew up well, and none of the kids had gotten into private school because of Helle's chaos. Aspirations: Hermóðr rolled Fortune/GC, Höðr Pleasure/Romance, and Hretha double Fortune just like her big sister.

Here's to hoping this go-round is a bit more cheerful!

Immediately after starting a new play session resigned to the fact that Thor was going to have only five children, he reminded me that there was one more option available.

In my defense, I never adopt voluntarily any more because I love the adoptees too much for legacy play. But, is it really voluntary if I've exhausted the other options?

Helle: still more interested in anything in the room that isn't food.

With four teenagers and one toddler, there's some age disparity in the family. We're not going to add to that.

To be fair, Thor made the phone call, and they're not wrong about him.

You keep on keepin' on, darlin'.

Nanny's back, with the first evidence that I finally installed a bottle default.

Actually, we've gotten small glimpses of this before: Helle's a good parent, too, if Thor's at work and she's not pregnant.

Hi there. Don't be a bitchy mail lady, and I won't have to kill you.

Autonomous potty training.

Mom of the year, right here!

No.

Hey guys, it's Bruce-Bragi's father, sixamsims's Sherlock Hexx!

Even well-loved toddlers can't resist THE TOILET.

Sure! Maybe it'll lead to ~romance~ for someone. Who knows? Two of the triplets are bi, and I have no idea if Helen or Herc's into boys or girls.

Score~

Athena Randolph and Trebuchet Dork made some more cute children.

It's hard to feel sorry for Hermóðr. Look at all the shit he could be doing, just in the living room!

Oh good. Looks like all the kids take more after Thor than Helle.

These two are great houseguests, hiding away with the Myshuno and raging about a break-in that occurred when they were toddlers.

Syn's terrifying noogie reign continues.

Aw, I was gonna die from cute...

...but then Höðr decided to take after his big sister.

Look, Höðr, are these the heights you should aspire to?

That wasn't fun! I thought we were gonna play games or something!

...I just remembered that Thor can kind of be an asshole. Looks like the kids inherited something else from dear ol' dad, aside from self-sufficiency.

Lots of family meals in this househhold, what with Helle's inability to prepare her own food and all.

Fuck you, Hercules. NO ONE TOUCHES THE GNOMES.

...I'm not liking where this path is headed, boys.

Aw, Frigg and the fishtank!

...I'm absolutely flabbergasted at how smoothly the household's been running lately.

Frigg, you have no idea how lucky you are.

No. Idea.

This isn't Helle parenting. It's stalking. Just thought I'd clear it up.

Not all of the older siblings' interactions are nasty. Hretha and Hermóðr are getting along swimmingly, it seems.

Hretha also not only consumes food when she is hungry, but she makes breakfast for everyone.

The kids all got themselves up in time for school. It's crazy, actually. After all those years of Thor running ragged...

Enjoy breakfast, dad. We'll see you when we get home from school.

Yeah, so aside from anything younger being ridiculous, Frigg's birthday is soon and she deserves a sibling somewhat close in age.

Meet Blair. Remember, he can never be heir.

Wow, this house looks really nice. I get to live here?

Don't tell him the truth, Mauricio (sea-serpent! The house is somewhat sane, now!

It's days like this that make my job seem so worthwhile!

It's days like this I'm glad the kid could walk so you couldn't abandon him on the sidewalk like the others!

Thor happily welcomes child #6 into the house!

Helle obviously couldn't wait to get a promotion and come home early, alas, she just got extra money this time.

Here's Blair Bork, properly purpled.

I'm so happy we adopted a child who needed a home!

I'm so happy that we managed to get another child into this generation for your LTW!

Syn's completely lost it. Not a new phenomenon for an older teen in an ISBI house, but still, a little sad.

Yay, I can't wait to meet our new addition!

Helle brought home Magdence (prettypalisades).

Don't look too smugly at the crazy teen. We both know that you're accidentally wearing a basegame top, and I can keep you like that if you piss me off.

Don't look so angry, Thor. That might be the only kid of yours we actually taught properly to use a toilet.

...so, Helle, how 'bout that pillow talk?

...Syn. They're not going to take this shit from you indefinitely.

Höðr immediately proves my point.

Let me guess, someone invited the headmaster before they knew they were getting laid at 5pm?

You can't have the chicken either, asshat.

Look, it's not our fault you can't get a job. Don't take out your uselessness out on us!

I wish I were an only child. I really, really wish I were an only child.

Between the arguing teens and the fact you probably reek of sex Thor, I'm suddenly thankful that we've proven your kids don't need to be in private school at all.

...I hope he's impressed with the Fender playing under the Fender deco.

Oh, look, he's having a wonderful dinner!

...it doesn't count as you having had that dinner until you actually eat it, Helle.

...I've made a huge mistake.

WE SHOULD HAVE HAD CAKE BEFORE DINNER, GODAMMIT.

I'm sorry, guys, but I totally cheated Frigg into private school. She would've been in if I'd not forgotten that this is a time when it's acceptable to have dessert before dinner.

Hretha and Hermóðr were happy about getting into private school.

And Helle was ecstatic her youngest grew up well. Oddly, Frigg's the one she concentrates the most on.

Frigg is adorable. It's hard to see past the brows and general coloring, though, to know if what she's inherited from Helle instead of Thor.

You know what? Frigg's not the only one who had a birthday.

That's right, Syn is 18 and going away to Uni before she instigates something that she won't enjoy.

AW WHAT THE SHIT IS THIS?

Hermóðr has apparently been bitten by the noogie bug. On the bright side, Blair, it's like you were always in the family now?

Look, the 'rents are obliviously coming on to each other in your presence, just like the other kids!

Frigg. Not. Now.

Frigg? NOT NOW!

See, now! Not when your parents need alone time or your sister is on the goddamn toilet!

...was there any other hobby for a child of Thor and Helle to have?

Oh, for fuck's sake, Hretha, I thought you were above this!

Why is Hretha so pissy here, anyway? She's usually so chill and happy!

More concern than Helle's shown Syn in...if not years, perhaps ever.

YA Syn. She's not a Helle clone, though they do have a lot of features in common. The fro-hawk looks good on her, too, and shows off the ears!

You know, little sis, you're pretty cool.

PSYCHE!

No...one...even...says...that...anymore...Hretha.

Guess what, guys? Now that we're not facing imminent Helle/unborn sibling demise, we have to face the fact that ALL OF THOR'S CHILDREN ARE ASSHOLES LIKE HE IS.

Oh, Mommy, you're up! Hretha's been mean--

--sweetie, tell me when I get home. I'll be late for work.

Unfettered noogies.

Unfettered arguments.

Unfettered slaps.

Not so happy to finally have a family now, are ya Blair?

*cackles* Oh, Fleur Simpson (kingmike1224), I have three Bork kids into women in this household right now. You should come in!

...I don't know if that's such a good idea.

I knew there was a purpose behind Thor befriending you when he had absolutely no attraction to you!

MOMMY, YOU'RE HOME!

Also, Syn's come to visit. This can only end well for the noogie brigade.

Seriously, guys. NO ONE CAN TOUCH THE LAWN ORNAMENTS. GIVE IT UP.

I don't understand any of this!

Why don't you noogie someone your own size?

Dude, Hretha and I are literally the same exact age!

And you never let age difference stop you from noogie-ing all of us, Syn!

Hey, Höðr, maybe you shouldn't shou--

Maybe you should shut your goddamn face, Hermóðr!

Why am I here, again?

...isn't watching a trainwreck sort of entertaining?

It's like there's some sort of unwritten sim law that, if any two siblings are to become enemies, it'll be two that share a birthday.

See, this is why I was trying to get you to leave Hretha alone in the first place!

Hretha and I are best friends, c'mon, punch me!

Um, Syn? Hretha was having fun...

If you wanted to know where the parents were...now you know.

You know, Thor, giving into Helle is only going to lead her to believe that the stalking gig is effective.

In no time at all, Hermóðr, Höðr, and I are going to be joining Syn in Uni. I can't wait!

...neither can the rest of us.

Yes, Hretha, chat up the pretty lady!

...rooting for Höðr? Okay.

Run and peruse from behind the door? Alright, Syn.

...I don't even know who started it.

You're both assholes.

If you don't watch it, Syn, you're gonna be next.

On one hand, neglectful. On the other hand, Thor's still gotta make sure his wife regularly consumes food. (He does!)

You know, Helle, she's the only kid you have that managed it, too.

Remember when we played on the swings after that birthday party?

Back when you were CHILDREN, Hermóðr...and weren't hogging your younger siblings' swingset...

Myshuno, Höðr?

...listen, Hretha, I'm going to show you what I think of your Myshuno...

But--I--thought--

we--were--friends!

Actually, they still are. Though I thought Hretha was friends with Hermóðr, too, so I don't get the gossip.

Frigg, intelligently, is staying away from the triplets for now. It's safer that way.

Yes, Hermóðr. Chat up the pretty lady!

Thor's just making sure Helle sleeps. ...seriously.

While Fleur seems pretty receptive to Hermóðr, I don't think it's a great idea for him to remind her that he's still in school.

Oh, you hate Syn, too? You're going great on sibling relationships today, Höðr. (Though I guess this one's mostly Syn's fault.)

WHO TURNED OFF THE FUCKING STEREO? NO COUCH SLEEPING IN THIS HOUSE, YOUNG MAN.

Yeah, I totally woke Thor up in turn on the stereo to wake up Höðr.

...which, apparently, was a mistake on my part.

I don't know who started it this time, either, but they're now tied for winning.

...sure, fun hobby you've got there.

Please now, kids, no fighting at the breakfast table.

Music & Dance? I swear, it's like this kid is adopted.

Thor is well ahead of Helle in age, and I need to make sure he'll last through his kids making it to Uni, so he gets some elixir.

Full of renewed vigor, he goes to shoot hoops.

I called the repairman over, because we had some broken bathtub issues.

You little shits are gonna cost us money that we have plenty of anyway, and waste a whole day because the guy can't find broken objects if you use them all!

Thor attempted to lure them outside with Sports. Oddly, it worked on the one without the Sport hobby.

Dude, she's totally too young for you.

Don't know why you gotta smack talk Syn, Thor. ALL of your kids seemed to inherit your winning personality.

Case in point.

Oh, poor Faustie (bondchick_nett). You have no idea what you're in for with these angsty teens.

Can't any of you give it a rest?

Maybe the repairdude was actually trying to let me know Hretha was keeping him from fixing the dishwasher? Anyway, I had Thor do it.

Quick, Hermóðr! Ramona Darwin (stakeit_uk) is...oh wait. Lincoln got married into the family in Gen 2. Does it count as a doubler if he didn't father the Gen 3 heir?

Well, Helle does enjoy bonding with her children over dance. Strange I haven't seen her dance with Blair.

Thomas Jeune (iliketoplaygod) walks by. Here's an interesting thing. He was a Randolph sperm donor. It'd be...interesting if he became a Bork one, too, no?

Oh god, I hope one sibling here still likes Syn.

Holy shit, is Helle autonomously eating or just putting away leftovers? I CAN'T TELL

I can't wait til I'm in high school, too, Daddy.

Don't try to grow up too fast, Frigg!

...I just juiced you, Thor. I need this generation to end sometime.

I'm strangely relieved at these two venting their frustration by merely play-fighting.

Frigg found the pool? FRIGG FOUND THE POOL. Finally, assigning them properly colored bathing suits actually served a purpose!

Caffeine, making breakfast! ...I'm so glad you kids don't take after Helle!

...I'm really starting to wish you didn't take after Thor, either, boys.

*sighs*

OH, FOR FUCK'S SAKE, HRETHA

Wait, do I get to update a stat that isn't fighting?

Poor Blair saw a ghost, is finally a *true* Bork.

Yeah, sure, that's as good a reason as any to give them a genie lamp. You batty bint.

Who knew that once the kids were more able to fend for themselves, they'd find more time to try and murder each other?

Sorry I haven't updated in forever. I've had the pics ready for this (and the next) update since a couple weeks after I did the last Laurince one. Though, I've spent a lot of my free time lately playing guitar. And I've become an auntie, and I guess the intervening time has been spent on things like a baby shower, last pre-baby get togethers, first post-baby get togethers, and I am apparently going to start doing some babysitting. I don't know anything about sitting no babies. O_o

Anyway, you read correctly, I already have another Bork update ready to go. I played until all the kids were Uni-bound, but it was way too much for one singular update. I have also installed Pets, created and deposited a cat in the Laurince household, so we'll see how that goes when I actually play it. I don't allow myself to play with an update backlog, or I won't remember ANYTHING when I decide to write them.

See you next time, hopefully it won't be months away. :P
