I think my LJ is now going to be reserved for reviews and such now XD
I've finally read the dreadful Twilight book... The first one that is. I have yet to continue on to New Moon. And my sister wants me to continue on already :P But I've decided I want to pace myself. Lest I break my brain further.
Now... On to the proper review (
which is in here and utterly spoilertastic )

I might have to admit....the first one was kinda "meh", but I think it was just because it was the first one, maybe Meyer didn't really expect it to take off the way it did.
In regards to New Moon....you're still inside Bella's head. Some part of it is kinda aggravating, BUT.....I think Bella as a character was developed a bit more, and is a bit more realistic now than she was in the first book. Sap-o-rama meter? I'd rank it probably 7/10 for the entire book, and the first was like 9/10. I won't go into too much detail about the book since I don't want to spoil it.
Pretty much what I'm trying to get to....I think the series as a whole gets better after the first book. I've already gotten the third book, Eclipse, so we'll see if it DOES keep getting better.
As for the movie, I keep hearing mixed reviews! I'm thinking about catching it if it goes into open captioned format. I've already discussed a girls night out with two girls to see the movie if it goes into open captioned format. =)

I don't like Bella and Edward, either. And...for me at least, Edward isn't the ideal boyfriend. I know how other people want their own Edward, but...I'd probably not be happy with someone like him. (Carlisle is probably a bit closer to my ideal, ehehe.) His abrupt changes in mood I find a bit scary, and gentleman or not, he's still a vampire. To each his own anyway, hehe. ^^;
I'm not part of Team Jacob, though. @_@ I kind of think of him as more of a little brother figure, ehehe. (And I was spoiled about the events in Breaking Dawn, too. Gah.)
About the movie, I really, really liked the bit where the Cullens try to cook for Bella. "Are we even sure she's Italian?" "Well, her name's Bella, right?" XD XD XD
And I thought it was soooo cute how at the end, he pretended he was going to bite her neck, but kissed it instead, and you see ( ... )

I think that's partly it also. I hate how he's supposedly so perfect. I think I could actually go out with movie Edward though XD After I freak out about his being a vampire though...
For Jacob, I don't want for them to be together. But I do like Jacob himself. My friend likes him even after Breaking Dawn, so...
There were a lot of really cute parts with the vampires. I seriously love her vampires, they're not dark and brooding, which is what people usually portray vampires as. Of course, they're still tortured and such, but they're not black-wearing gothy people.
Read the end, it's all right. Speed-read and browse through the unnecessary mush if you have to. ^_^

Side Note 1: If I found out my boyfriend was a vampire, my first reaction would be laughter, and utter disbelief, not to go and RESEARCH. "He's weird, and Jacob told me this legend so he's OBVIOUSLY a Vampire!" <- Yeah. Go Bella go. >>
Side Note 2: XD We get to go through trying to figure out about turning Kira ALL OVER AGAIN! Isn't it FANTASTIC?!
