we have no power in baldwin. therefore, we have no email to tell people that we have no electricity. i guess they will have to figure it out when the heat is gone COMPLETELY. yes, we are the only house on bedford terrace right now that has no self sustainable heating system without the mainline power. go renovations?
in other news, today was my last ergathon in smith crew history. well, at least one where i would be rowing/cheering. it was light, a beautiful day and a productive one in donations. looks like a nice guy from the board of trustees cut us a $50 check. quite nice. if only he could buy us a new boat, then THAT would be awesome. we'd even name it after him. "mr. man on board of trustees" would be the best boat in the boat house.... well next to the other beautiful one we will be getting custom made by vespoli. that's pretty much why we were rowing in front of the campus center. but in actuality, we rowed and we received money that went directly to safe passage, a women's shelter in the pioneer valley. if we make over $500, then we get to donate to a second charity in the area, hopefully, "girls, inc." which supports girls in sport in hampshire county. if anyone is interested in donating, everything is tax deductible and goes to a good cause. even though we've already had the ergathon, you can still make donations!
also, after all that fuss with my insurance company, i finally got approved for the MRI i need for my doc to give me a diagnosis for the numbness i've had on my left side. hopefully, it'll give me some good news - i go tomorrow at 3 at cooley-dickenson if anyone wants to come along for the support/ride. i'm not a fan of the MRI machine, as it is quite tiny, and i get a tiny bit claustrophobic. w00t!
tomorrow we have practice at... 7 am? so psyched. i am ready for it! actually, i am ready for spring break, as it is ochen stressful here at the moment. i am plowing through work, for the first time in the semester, but i still have A LOT to do. if anyone wants to have intimate library dates with me or a study party in someone's room, i would love to hear it.
