1st Snorkack - Introductions

[Well, isn't this interesting. This isn't the Forbidden Forest at all. This actually appears to be quite a nice hill with quite a lovely breeze.

Luna opens her eyes, the mysterious voice that had led her into blackness still echoing in her ears. Finally, after the world stops spinning, she tries to sit up. As she does so, she catches sight of ( Read more... )

[unfortunately, Tsuna chooses this time to trip over his paws as he walks by a smeargle and doesn't have enough time to move out of the way before he finds paint splattered all over his fur

He gives a sharp yelp of surprise]

Wh-wha--!

[Luna looks around sharply at this cry. It doesn't take a seventh year to realize that the creature suddenly covered in blue paint is probably the likely culprit.

Immediately, she hurries over. Or possibly not immediately, because even if she lucked out with a bipedal body, her center of gravity is much lower now and her legs much skinnier and all in all Luna trips and winds up falling next to Tsuna, just out of range of the paint.]

I'm sorry. Why don't you let me help you clean up?

I-It's okay I should've watched where I was--

[he winces when she also hits the ground and gets back to his feet slowly, before moving to help her back to her feet with his head. He missed having hands]

T-That would be really appreciated [especially since he couldn't really see where he had paint] but um- are you alright?

Oh, yes, I'm all right. [She dusts herself off and smile at him. Smeargle's face makes the smile look rather dopey, but sincere.] Thank you for asking. I suppose I'm just not as used to this body as I thought I was. But I suppose I really don't have very much to complain about, after all. How long have you been without arms?

[he blinks and smiles back, a little more shyly]

Not long. It's only been a day since I've been like this. I guess we're all trying to get used to our new forms.

Well, at least we can all figure it out together. [She seems to like the thought of this. It's reassuring, at the very least.] It's a very nice new form, though. You must have a very nice nose.

My name is Luna. What's yours'?

[smiles a little, nodding] That's true.

[gives a little start at the odd compliment Luna just gave him]

Y-Yeah, it's kind of odd having such a strong sense of smell now but it's kinda cool sometimes.

I'm Tsuna. It's nice to meet you.

Well, Tsuna, you seem to understand things a little better than I do. What should we do? Or what should I do? This is a very nice village, but it isn't Hogwarts.

Ah--well, I guess if you're used to walking now, maybe find a place to stay for now?

[hogwarts? What a weird name]

That sounds like a very good idea. [She nods sagely.] Where should I stay?

W-Wherever you like? As long as it isn't occupied I guess.

[he shrugs as best as he can]

Would a tree be occupied, then? I'm not sure where I should sleep when I look like this. This doesn't seem like the sort of place where there would be any beds around.

I-I don't think so. Would you be able to sleep comfortably in a tree though?

Oh, probably not. Trees are fine for a little while, but then I'd fall out and hit my head. I suppose I could wrap my tail around a branch, but then it would just hurt when I fell out.

But if I wanted to avoid getting eaten by Artvurs, it would probably be the safest possibility.

There are lots of spare tents I think.

[pauses. staring]

Artvurs?

Artvurs, yes. They look like wasps, only they prefer paint to flowers. They've ruined several of my paintings, you know, but Daddy says we mustn't hurt them. I suppose I must have a great deal of paint inside me, so I might attract quite a lot.
