1st Snorkack - Introductions
[Well, isn't this interesting. This isn't the Forbidden Forest at all. This actually appears to be quite a nice hill with quite a lovely breeze.
Luna opens her eyes, the mysterious voice that had led her into blackness still echoing in her ears. Finally, after the world stops spinning, she tries to sit up. As she does so, she catches sight of herself and...]
Oh.
[She examines one paw, then the other, and finally her gaze slides to her tail. She picks it up, running her thick fingers over the brushes and realizing that yes, that is really blue paint. A curious tug leads her to realizing that yes, it really is her tail and it really is attached.]
Oh, my. How very strange.
[This definitely isn't the Forbidden Forest. This isn't anywhere she recognizes from Hogwarts. Ginny, Neville, Hagrid, are nowhere to be seen. Neither is her wand. A quick and, yes, worried looked of the area around her is enough to confirm that much.]
This is...rather bad. Oh, my.
[She straightens up, wobbling slightly on her thinner, shorter legs. She looks around. She raises her paws to her mouth and calls out, voice muffled around her large, thick tongue but no less piercing.]
Ginny! Neville! Hagrid!
[She'll call for them all the way down the hill. About halfway down she realizes that there's a town at the base of the hill, and takes heart. There must be people down there, and they must be able to explain where she is. Her new body isn't really very much of a bother to her, except for the fact that her tail is rather heavier than her wand and is showing a tendency to drag along in the grass. Periodically, Luna pauses to hike it higher, before she sets off in search of friendly natives. At least she blends in. She wonders with a thrill of excitement what strange new creatures she might discover and what fascinating new things she might learn. This would be a wonderful opportunity, if only it had come with slightly less disastrous timing.
Today, in the village, you might notice something. In other words, you might notice dark blue paint spattered over the walls, ground, trees, plants...someone has a paint brush and they aren't afraid to use it. Or, really, someone has a tail and they keep forgetting to hold it high enough off the ground that it doesn't trail paint everywhere. Whenever Luna notices that she has left her mark on a wall, sign, building, or person, however, she'll immediately stop to offer assistance cleaning up. She's absentminded, not rude.]
