Hustler

Poem for the brigits_flame week two topic of Hustler

You brought me into
the dark alleyway of your life
offering me gifts, smiles,
words of kindness
like cheap watches under your coat.
You stole into my life,
taking a five-fingered
discount on every aspect,
every glance, every touch.
Waking I find all was just hustle,
a blithe game you played with me
to get what you wanted.
