# 86. Seeing Red

Amongst the green sea of the forest
one tree has already changed
its red leaves standing out
like droplets of blood splattered
against a multi-hued backdrop.
The bright leaves demand attention
making me wonder what weeping cloud
was pierced today and wept more
than just tears?

Yes the leaves are changing here, there is a tree in our front yard that has turned completely yellow and started dropping its leaves. Which is sort of ironic since it was that tree that last year kept its leaves until well into winter. I love the changing of the leaves and the many colors that appear this time of year.
