Wow, it's been a long time since I've updated this.
I've got one week of classes left for the summer semester. I ended up getting a high A on my first Tax test, and I had the highest grade (99.3) on the second. I've got an estate planning project due today that I just put the finishing touches on. I'm pulling a high A in my public organization class as well. Between the two, I've got one paper and one test left (next Monday and Tuesday,) and then I'm done. The material this semester hasn't been hard so much as its just been time consuming. I looked into maybe taking an online course this fall, but, I think between the wedding, holidays, and a 10 day business trip in October, even that might be a little much to handle. So, I've got a few months off coming up. :)
The fourth at home was nice. The shower was wonderful, the weather was great, the fireworks were fun, we headed over to the emerald, caught up with Stine, saw Ed's friend Nick, and spent time with the families. Our on way out we took our engagement photos, which should be back soon.
Scuba class went great! I finished up my certification on Sunday. After a few days of pool dives, we moved on to open water dives. Saturday we logged 3 shore dives at Lake Denton in Avon Park (near Sebring, about an hour and half south or Orlando.) The visibility was so-so, about 10 feet or so, and we dropped down to 30 feet. Sunday was the best. We trekked down to West Palm for 2 ocean dives, 25 minutes each, at 60 feet. We had a blast. The first dive was a reef dive, and the second was a wreck dive. We got to swim all in and around this sunken barge... we saw a barracuda, a moray eel, and tons of other stuff. We took an underwater camera down with us, and the pictures turned out pretty well. Once I get through with class next week, I'm taking a few days to upload the stockpile of pictures I'm sitting on to the website (this time, I promise!) Our friend Adam's family owns a beach house in Sarasota on Siesta Keythey offered up any weekend it was empty. Siesta Key has some of the best diving around, so, we're thinking we might head on over some weekend in August to get away for a bit.
But, as for now, we're staying put for a weekend! Nat and Ashley might come down to hang out on Saturday, but other than that, we're staying in. Ed's exhausted, and I've got a paper to work on and a test to cram for. The next weekend we're heading back down to West Palm with Nat to see Dave Matthews. I'm hoping we'll get to spend a full day in West Palm... it was really beautiful, but we didn't have any spare time while we were down next weekend.
Back to work...
