He was in my arms again when we finally had arrived in the Hospital. I can still smell his sweet odor though his body was cold and stiff in my arms. My heart is pounding so fast like I don’t want him to death, now..
No, not now..
I can’t confess anything now, when I know he was the reason I lost Rei. So, I can’t say I love him without feeling guilty to Rei though she have been in heaven now.
But I can’t lost him, now..

“I NEED DOCTOR KEITO, NOW!!!” I was ran so hard straight to the emergency room (ER) at that hospital.
“PLEASE!! I MUST SAFE HIM, HE WASN’T BREATHING!! PLEASE!!”
One of the doctor right there run to me and help me to laid Chinen’s body in one of the empty bed but he wasn’t Keito..
“He was dead..” that doctor looked at me with his horrified eyes.
“NO!! SAFE HIM!! I NEED HIS DOCTOR!! I NEED KEITO!!” I cried so loud, I’m not realized since when I was crying and my body trembling so hard. The nurses began to push me out from the ER, I keep yelling.
“NO!! HE DIDN’T DEAD YET!!” I tried to run inside, but now three nurses already hold me. The doctor look at Chinen’s eyes, he opened Chinen’s eyelids to look at his eyes. After that his face become pale and he run outside.
“You can call in Doctor Kawashima, he still in his room, right?” one of the three nurses who hold me nodded and run to the palce where Dr. Kawashima was there.
“You can safe him?” I grab that doctor’s shoulder look at him with pleaded eyes.
“I can’t but the hospital head.. I think he can.. That man in a dead faint..”
“What?”
“He was litteraly death but that was something which still make him there in his body..”
I cried again, I can’t say anything suddenly can’t yell again just cry and muttering please, please, please through my breath.
“I’m here..” I lift my head when that nurse come back with the man which look more old than the doctor who was talked to me earlier. He look more experience and wise I think that man can safe Chinen’s life.
“What happened..?” he said while walked in to the Emergency Room. I can’t hear their confersation again after that because I choose to stand still out of the ER, my body feel so weak and my tears still flowing in my cheeks.
“CHINEN!!” the older doctor looked so shocked when he know who the patient was.
“KISARAGI!! CALL IN HIMURA IN HIS ROOM AND CALL KEITO EVEN HE IS STILL IN HIS HOUSE, WE NEED TO DO SURGERY!!” he was shout out make all the medic people in there running around. Chinen’s body was brought out from the ER, they run to the surgery room.
“CALL KEITO I NEED HIM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, PREPARE THE DEFIBRILLATOR!!” I was drowning in his shouting when he already shout like that I don’t need to shout again, right?
He isn’t just saving Chinen but he saving me too, when all the medic team gather in the surgery room. My trembling body was calmed down and my tears had stopped. That doctor authority managed to make me believe he will safed Chinen..

One hour later, Keito come to the hospital. He was run straight to the surgery room without spare even one glance to me.
Three hour later the surgery still held in there, I was doze off on the bench in front of the surgery room. Four hour later I was asleep..
And eight hour later..
“Ugghh..” I opened my eyes suddenly feeling something cold touching and burning my wounded feet.
“Takaki..??”
Yes, Takaki was there kneeling in the floor and treat my wound with disinfectant. I want to pulling my feet out of his hold but Takaki was grabbing my feet so tight.
“Thank you so much, you saved him..”
Now, he was bandaged my feet.
“What time is it? They still held the surgery?”
“Yeah, the nurses said it will taked ten hour..” when he finished treated my feet, he sat beside me.
“What happened?” he ask.
“He think he deserve to death..” I answered with low voice. I thought that too the first time I hear his confession, I thought he deserve to death for Rei’s sake. But now, I will think over again about that.
“You think he deserve to death too?” Takaki says, I was shocked when I think he was reading my mind.
“No.. But.. No.. But, I can’t!!” I suddenly depressed.
“REI IS MY FIRST LOVE!!” I close my eyes with my palm. The need to cry suddenly attacked me again.
“What makes you save Master Yuri?”
“I don’t know!!”
“Because you already lost the one you love in the past, so now you can’t lost one again?”
“…..”
Finally my tears flowed..
“I love him.. I love him..
I really love him..”
Rei, if you hear this in heaven.
Can you forgive me or can you forgive Chinen too..

-Two days later-
When the surgery was done. Keito come to me and Takaki, he told us Chinen will be in the special room for now on. And we can’t see him. He told us to come home and take a rest. Chinen condition still unstable but all the doctor especially Mr. Kawashima whom later I know is Umika’s father will be stanby to guard him.
Like Keito’s advice I come home, the door have been repaired in twelve hour when I was in the hospital. Takaki must be here and told someone to do this. I will give an applause to Chinen’s employe who did this repairmen with short time.
And for two days straight I’m fallen asleep.
I woke up because of delicious scent from outside the room, when I walked to the kitchen Umika and Keito was there. They told me, the wedding was delayed until Chinen’s recovery. And I eat in between Umika’s cries for sorry. She repeatedly says she is the one who make Chinen like this. She is feel so sorry and guilty but I can’t say anything to make her felt more relieve..
They was gone when Umika’s father called keito to come to the hospital.
That night I drove to my home town.
I need to do something, so everyone can feel relieve..

I’m arrived at my home town in the morning and I sleep until mid day. My mom asked me if I want to eat my breakfast, so I ate my breakfast in the lunch time. After that I went to the school where Yuto teaching there.
“Yo!”
He was shocked when he saw me stand in the school gate just waved at him like we met each other everyday though this had been three years we aren’t see each other.
“YAMADA!! HOW ARE YOU!! OH, MY GOD!!” he hugged me so tight until I can’t breath.
“Yuto.. Yuto.. I miss you too, alright? So, you don’t need to hug me..”
“You are not cute at all..” he was pouting when he release me.
“I can treat you diner.. aren’t I cute?”
“Yeah..” he smiled so wide, his face become so pleased like he really glad to see me still healty and alive.
Maybe, I miss him a bit..^^
“What do you do in Tokyo? You still doing entertainment?”
“Yeah, are you never watched your tv?” I’m feeling a bit offended when Yuto act as if I’m not famous again. What the hell? Maybe I’m not famous before but now I’m so famous when I become Chinen’s lover.
“I’m just kidding..” Yuto said that, but does not laughing.
“You just don’t want to asked why I’m dating a guy, right?”
He just silence for awhile. And then said..
“I think you desperate because of Rei and dating with that Chinen guy because you think you can get attention from the world. The world that you hate so much..”
“I always hate the world, even more now.. and you are right I’m not really date him. We are just acting like a lover so we can solve our problem.”
“So? Why you come home? Aren’t you solve your problem?”
“No, because now the problem just become bigger..”
“What happened?”
“You know something about Rei? Right, Yuto? Your mother and Rei’s mother, they are like a sister. She definitely say something to your mom?”
“What is this? Why you suddenly talked about Rei?”
“Because Chinen is the one who receive Rei’s heart and doing a transplant.”
Yuto just stared at me flatly..
“I.. I already know that when I see him with you in the news..” he said, I stared at him in disbelieve.
“I don’t really know what happened that day I just know from my mother gossip with Mrs. Aiyami (Rei’s mother). So I can’t warning you anything and I see you aren’t really dating that guy when you two together in some news..”
“What did you know, Yuto?”
“The Chinen’s family is really a trash!” Yuto spat at first but I can see he was seriously angry his hand held the fork more tight.
“They threatened Rei,” he continue.
“My mom said Rei was crying and begging because she wanted to see you first before the surgery. They said, they will kill you (Rei’s lover who is Yamada) if Rei didn’t want to do a transplant that day.”
They will kill you..
“Oh.. god..” my hand shaking, I let the spoon loose from my grab and fall to my plate.
“You must cut down all your relationship with that guy!!They are disgusting!! How can he live like that when he know someone threatened and didn’t wanted to give her heart..”
“HE CAN’T LIVE ALRIGHT!!” I was shouted angrily to Yuto that immediately make Yuto quiet.
“HE CAN’T..” I realized everyone in that restaurant had looked at us now. I tried to calmed down a bit.
“He was in a dead faint, now. Because he don’t know all of that and he wanted to kill himself when he know Rei was forced to give her heart.. And I love him, yuto.. Is that wrong?” I pressed my fist on my eyes but my tears keep flowing.
“Yamada? You can’t love him when you know Rei give her heart to Chinen because she wanted to protected you! If she didn’t give her heart she is the one who will live happily with you! How can you forget that?”
“But, Rei have a cancer and she can’t be cured, when the time come she will death because that cancer. Chinen don’t have a cancer! He just need heart..” they stared to each other no one want to give up. Yuto eventually give up first..
“You really love him, right?”
“I really love him, he is so sweet..” my voice trembled..
“I love him, Yuto.. Please, can you help me? I can’t love him without feeling guilty to Rei.. even more now when I know what her reason to give in and do the transplant.. I can’t just forget her and loving him..”
“I know it must be hard for you..” Yuto sighed, after that he just stared at me who kept cried.
“We can meet Rei’s parent…” he said, finally.
I just nodded..

That was Sunday, when we come to Aiyami’s house. Their garden look so pretty with flower, some bonsai tree and miscellaneous fruit tree. Mrs. Aiyami was there sprinkle the water and she look happy. I feel miserable when I know cause my visit will ruined her happy face.
“Auntie, how are you?” Yuto come in to the garden first, he was walked and greeted her. She looked surprised but seems more happy when realized it was Yuto.
“Wow, what bring you here? Some happy news? Hahahaa.. you are so tall!!” her voice high and full of happiness.
-Yamada, where are you? Uncle was here-
I looked at my phone when Yuto and Rei’s mother still doing their reunion and hug each other. Umika was sending me a message.
-I was in my home town, need to do some errand-
I replied fast, Umika was already sending me another when my message still in process to sent.
-He was confused and distress. He said to Takaki he was telling what they were planning because Chinen said Rei’s mother was calling him so uncle intending to say all the plan. But he said Chinen just want to know the reason why Rei’s didn’t want to give her heart. So he was telling the truth not the plan..-

-Tell me more Umika?-
Again before I sent my message, Umika was already send another.
-Uncle intending to say the plan but Chinen was cut off the phone before he was finished. They planning something we don’t know..-

“Yamada?”
When I want to sent my reply, Mrs. Aiyami was stand in front of me. She was smiled and she hugged me tight.
“I want to see you so bad, but you always change your phone number even your mum didn’t know your real number..” she said with her kind voice.
We never have good relationship in the past, she always hate me and doesn’t approve my relationship with Rei.
“I’m sorry. I never give any news..”
“It’s okay.. So, what it is which bring you two to come here?”
“I wanted to asked something about Rei’s cause of death?”
“It was cancer..”
“No, it wasn’t. please Mrs. Aiyami don’t make this so hard, I wanted to know the truth because someone in the hospital right now want to killed himself because of that.” I pleaded to her desperately.
“Chinen?”
“Yes! He was so fragile, he felt so guilty when he know he was the cause of Rei’s death. But you and Mr. Aiyami was there, right? Why you can’t help Rei? You can bring Rei away from there and you can call the police. Why aren’t you do that?” I’m not understand why I become like this. It was like I change my direction so sudden, I’m in Chinen’s side now..
“Yamada you are so rude!”
“You are the one who always rude! I never have a chance to protecting Rei’s even when I said I would make her happy and I wanted to married her, she still so away from me. You who always with her..”
“Because that time you are so young!”
Yuto come in between us, because Mrs. Aiyami seems get angry and want to strangle me.
“Please stay calm, aunt..” say Yuto, he stroked his aunt shoulder.
“Why you aren’t say Rei was death because she was giving her heart to Chinen? Why you hide it from me and tell me Rei was death because of cancer instead?”
“What do you want to know in that age, you can’t do anything!”
“There was that reason again! I was a loser when I met Yuri, he definitely know me when I was in my worst.” I bowed my head.
“But he believe me with everything.. he give me his all life for me to protect.. and I want to do that! I want to protect him, so bad!”
They become quiet, when I just cried my frustration like that.
I don’t care..
I really love him, now..
I will defend him with all my life..
“Yamada, Rei still love you. She always love you..”
“But, she said.. if one day me or her die. We must forget each other and have a happy live..” I lift my head and looked directly at Rei’s mother eyes.
I can be an adult now. When I was young and can’t protecting the one I love. Now, I must brave and make a decision to take the responsibility.
I will protect Yuri..
“What if she never die. What if she still alive..”

“You called Yamada?” Keito come to Umika who sat in the hospital café.
“I don’t know if I wanted to tell him or not. Yamada is.. I still don’t know him much..” Umika stared at her phone.
“and he still not repliying my other message, maybe he don’t care with Yuri anymore..”
“Don’t be like that..” Keito stroked Umika’s hair.
“He need to know, he was the one who saved Chinen. He must know Chinen need a new heart..”
“Yeah, I will not text him..” Umika stand up together with Keito and they walked to Chinen’s room.
“I will call him to make him know if Rei’s heart would be replaced..”

“She still alive..”
“What?” Yamada and Yuto shouted unison, we were shocked.
“We are planning this all, Rei was in America now with Chinen’s father.”
“WHAT?!” our voice become high now.
“Auntie, actually.. what happened that day?” Yuto was the one who asked that because I’m not recovered from my shock.
“Actually Chinen’s family never threatened Rei, it was just a make up story to covered the truth. When Chinen’s heart suddenly stopped they begged to Rei, but Rei refused because she want to marry you. They become desperate and promised to give us so much money. But we can’t forced Rei. When they almost give up, miraclely someone was delivered to emergency room, he was in the edge of death. The person who bring him to the hospital said he was wanted to kill himself and jump from the high roof. There was rule when we want take someone heart, but Chinen’s family can do anything.. ” Mrs. Aiyami looked at me, but I still can’t get my soul back. I was literally death inside.
Plan.. Now, Umika’s text was make sense.
“Ignoring all the rule they just take that person live, but the heart not fit with Chinen’s body. Instead that person heart fit with Rei’s body..”
Yuto’s mouth was wide open now, he just don’t realized that.
“The medical team must get some award if the world know.. they doing triple surgery at once. And two transplant for Chinen get Rei’s heart and Rei’s get the almost death guy’s heart..”
“So, what happened to Rei? Where is she, if she really alive? And who was the body you buried at the fulneral..?”
“It was that unknown guy’s body. We doing this to keep Chinen’s family name clean and for an exchange to Rei’s heart they promised to cured Rei’s cancer. In America where Chinen’s family life, they do a research for Rei’s disease and they success to get medicine for cure Rei’s cancer .. She will come back soon..”
Mrs. Aiyami walked to me and she hugged me tight. Now, I know the reason why she look so happy.
Rei still alive and she will come back..
“She will come back Yamada, you must be happy”
Yeah, I must be happy too, right?
