001 ☁ Audio + Action for New Bark Town
[Ororo is standing by the lakeshore at the edge of New Bark, looking for all the world like a lost child, hugging herself like that. (Marvel heroes have a patent on melodrama, you know.) It's a new feeling, certainly one she never prepared herself for. She never expected to feel so empty without her powers, mostly because she didn't think it was possible to be stripped of them at all in the first place.]
[To her side is one Dratini, nudging her legs every now and then, blinking those big, bright eyes at her. It's kind of adorable, really, and Ororo's always been rather weak when it comes to animals.]
... I am sorry if I've been neglecting you, dear one. I'm still not quite certain how to take in all of... this. [She laughs softly.] To be honest, I still hope that this is all a bizarre dream; that any moment now, I would wake up and find myself back in New York...
