Espers
Squall's comment in the canon pimping post made me want to go and find the Espers for Final Fantasy XII and their final attacks. See, in the game, you can summon Espers for any battle at any time if you have enough MP, and since the battles are IN REAL TIME they follow the summoner around the world map, fighting enemies that get too close, until either their final attack is triggered, or their timer or HP goes down.
