Yeah boy.
Last night was Pace Amateur Night, with host ya boi Flavor Flav. I was the first act in the show and I played piano. It was really exciting to do a solo piano performance again, it's been a while. I thought my performance went very well. I was very comfortable on stage an played with a lot of emotion. As far as Flav goes, at first I thought he was a good host, but then he started with shameless self promotion any chance he got, told us all to watch TV, and announced a "Flavor Of Love 3", as he appears to be filtering through girls. He showed favoritism to black women and hit on them, etc. He also continually forgot the next act, of which he had just been informed, and then couldn't think to look at his program to figure it out. He had to keep going back and asking the show's producer. I had the chance to meet him, but didn't. Pretty much he ignored me and I ignored him. He also had to bring his "crew" with him.
Anyway, I'm excited to return home, as well as meet some new people here in NY. I've got some new musical opportunities opening as well.
