I went back home for the weekend again. I had a gig set up to pay for my expenses getting there, but that was cancelled due to the storm Saturday. Luckily my family is charitable.
It was a good weekend, mainly because I was able to see all my friends from RI. He who must not be named happened to be home as well, so him, Drew and I all got to hang out at the crazy URI Saturday night. URI was pretty insane this weekend with the Halloween costumes and such. It was a good time. I also randomly saw Jess, which is really weird because we both go to school in New York, and here we are stumbling across each other at URI in October. It was awesome though.
Played a little Airsoft Sunday with Andrew, Drew, and Killa. With only 4 people, it managed to be a lot of fun. The few games we had were really interesting games and all of us had our ups and downs on the day, which leads to everyone being happy, and why it's fun to play. It's been a while. I already feel like I'm getting old as we returned to the spot where we used to play 2 years ago to find it overgrown and stuff.
It was a nice rest though and a good visit with friends. Now I have to hope I can manage life here at Pace again until Thanksgiving without going insane.
I'm considering a new summer job next summer, not with the DEM. Ironic since I discussed my will to be a lifeguard with Andrew today. I would like that job very much, but my mom again brought up the subject of me working as a musician for my summer job today. Suddenly I am really considering it IF I can do what my dad claims I can do. Free room and board at Block Island, playing guitar every night for better pay than lifeguards. It just sounds like a really great time. I'm seriously considering it.
My current album project with Tyler is really on hold until I can start recording demos and such - like January. Most importantly I need a concept and lyrics. Lyrics will come easily after the concept. The concept's the tough part though. I've got a lot of ideas for music, but they just sit there without development. I'm still looking forward to making new music soon though, hopefully to good success despite my slight change in how I will go about it.
