Well, the transformer in the overhead light on my lab bench exploded yesterday. It would have scared the crap out of me had I not been reading and labeling at the same time (multi-tasking see? Might just inspire tptb to give me something more challenging to do!). My brain was too busy to worry about piffling things like loud bangs! :)
