THE NEWS AT 10

Wow! It's been a while since I've been here. Lots going on.

First, gotta do some pimpage here for a birthday present I received from
VR_Trakowski. She very graciously wrote a fic for me. You can read Breakfast at Grissom's here. It is rated NC-17 for G/S smutness. ::grin:: Thanks, VR for the surprise gift fic!

I would also like to thank
gglovebug for the LJ and real-life birthday greetings. You're the best!

Had my pictures taken with my little fellow, nephew Aaron, a few months ago. I don't normally like having my picture taken, but this one turned out quite well, if I do say so myself.

Speaking of G/S goodness, I was totally stoked by the season finale of CSI. While I hate that we weren't privy to how Grissom and Sara got together, the fact that they ARE together is beyond wonderful. It's CANON baby! Image below borrowed from golffer5 over at YTDaW.

I won't bore with all the details of what has been going on in my life, but believe me, it's been a trying couple of months. My sister has been very ill lately and it's taken a toll on all of us. She's better now and they hope they have found out what has been causing her illness and she can begin the road to recovery.

Work has been busy, but not overwhelmingly so for the past few months. A little overtime here and there is nice.

And I actually have a couple vacations coming up!

Heading to Las Vegas August 4-7 for the YTDaW/CSI Convention. My good friend gglovebug is going so that will make the trip all the better. Looks like there will be 28 of us going. Some traveling from Europe to attend. I'm so excited! Never been to Vegas before so I'm looking forward to seeing Sin City.

Then in December, I'm going to Providence, Rhode Island. Why there? Because Billy Petersen is going to be performing live, onstage in a production of A Dublin Carol at the Trinity Repertory Company.

Our tickets are for December 20, but we're going to try and get tickets for at least another show while we are there. Never been to Rhode Island either. For someone who doesn't do much traveling, I'm gonna be racking up some frequent flyer miles. *grin*
