Didn't have my job interview with the HSUS; it's now scheduled for this Thursday.

Got my box set of Dark Skies this weekend. Watched the pilot with Myr.... She didn't seem that impressed, but that's okay. I'm enamoured enough for the both of us. I'm pretty cheap and easy when it comes to television shows set in the '60s, especially the Kennedy years. I also have a soft spot for Eric Close. And the main characters are just so damn naive and sincere!
Except for one or two episodes, I haven't seen the show since its' original airing, so I can't wait to devour this box set (I'm pacing myself, though).

Took Bailey to work with me today. He was scheduled for a dental scaling but the dental nurse didn't show up, so I did it myself (I'm trained as backup). Always a scary moment when your patient doesn't handle anesthesia well, and when it's your own dog it's near impossible to think rationally. He's fine! But he may have given Mom another gray hair... It was actually better than the last time I had to sedate him, during which he had a full-blown seizure.

I'm not big on New Year's Resolutions, but I made one to keep in better touch with friends and family. So far I've phoned a friend in New Zealand (whose voice I hadn't heard in years) and actually phoned home to Missouri three times this year (we're close, I swear, it's just we all hate the phone). Also, I found out that my family in northern Missouri is expecting the 12-18 inches of snow that Chicago is (which is unusual, usually they get hit much more than us)

Just e-filed my taxes. I might actually upgrade my (much loved) camera this year to an SLR. I've got enough set aside for it and, though I was hoping to use that money for an international trip to Egypt, it's looking like it might not be a good time to visit :/
Adding my current savings to my tax refund, I could buy an SLR camera and still have enough saved for a small, North America vacation.
