Because Myr keeps insisting on linking Richie's new number to a bond with Jason Kendall, I was determined to do research which proved otherwise.
I submit, for your review, the evidence:
He's worn it before! I feel 80% better about the whole number change now, partially because I've had a chance to get over the shock and partially because I know it was a number he chose. (Though unless Andrew Bailey offered to give up his number, I'm still royally pissed at him)
...Still not buying a new Tshirt. I've got 3 Harden #40s to keep me going, thankfully.
