Seeing Matt clement get hit in the head scared me soooooooooo effing bad. I almost hyperventilated.... literally. I called everyone I could think of to tell them what happened and they all were scared too.... and rightfully so. The thing that REALLY scared me was seeing how far the ball carromed into left field. Seeing him not move wasn't good either.... although we later learned he never lost consciousness which is amazing in itself. Although I don't think I'd want to be conscious after experiencing that lol. But the fact that he doesn't even have a concussion amazes me too. After I calmed down after seeing him get hit I thought of all the possible things that could be wrong with him.... And i counted a concussion as automatic. Lol... i got into some pretty messed up things too.... brain damage, fractured skull, and if it hit him in the temple he might not survive the night. I guess he got hit in the perfect spot (although no spot on the head is perfect) because if you put your hand kind of above and behind your ear.... theres a pretty thick bone that you can feel. I mean..... 3 or 4 inches difference your talking about getting hit in the temple. Pretty scary to think about. Hah... Its Steve's fault because he went out and got a Red Sox tattoo earlier in the day. He gets a Celtics tattoo.... and they lose 4 in a row.... he gets a Sox tattoo... and Clement gets drilled in the head. when will he learn lol. I also just heard that Ted Johnson retired. He epitomized what the Patriots emphasize... doing whatever it takes to win. And with him.... it was taking a lot of pay cuts. Football players (along with any other athlete) are very prideful people. 99% of any athlete you ask to take a pay cut would say no.... and then would probably demand a trade. Ted Johnson is in that very rare 1%. You look at these other assholes like T.O. and Jevon Walker.... even Richard Seymour.... they should look at what this guy did for his team and they should be ashamed at themselves. Especially Seymour... He's out there looking to make an extra buck. But the thing is.... If he gets a raise he'll be taking money away from his teammates who are busting their ASSES to win. Now Seymour still has a chance to drop this before training camp starts... But if he holds out.... it'll be pretty stupid because he's under contract... and Belichick just won't play him... and Seymour will miss the season if he doesn't decide to come back. The decision seems pretty easy for me. But you never know with these athletes.
