We had some visitors to our backyard this morning, though they barely stayed long enough for me to get pictures of them strolling off into the tall grass. If my daughter hadn't spotted them when she did, I'd have missed them entirely. I've never seen so many wild turkeys at once before.

I saw three crows in a leafless tree, silhouetted against today's grey sky. I wish I'd had my camera with me, though that's completely impractical on a fitness-type walk . . . I could barely slow down to admire them.
