So, even though I'm not at work at the theater, you get one anyways. Here is my two minute review of
Pan's Labyrinth.
First things first:
Wow.
Pan's Labyrinth was easily the best movie that I've seen in years, and I saw
Snakes on a Plane. Twice.
Director Guillermo del Toro weaves together two stories, one of a small girl who begins to find herself in a fantasy come to life, and one of her wicked step-father, an army captain hunting down a band of guerrillas during the Spanish Civil War. He brings the two stories together quite well, and they even play off each other in the end.
The movie itself is beautiful, and the characters are perfect. All the actors did very good jobs, the special effects are great, and the music is phenomenal. Ok, I'm just ranting at this point, but really I can't say enough good things about this movie.
It's also up for about
six Oscars.
So sum up, if you get a chance to see this movie, do so. It's hard to find, and has been out for a little while, but don't pass this one up.
